We stayed here for three nights in June as a honeymoon couple, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Located about 30 minutes from Lovina Beach, the property is nestled in the hills, surrounded by lush jungle, rice fields, and mountain views. This is not just a place to stay — it’s a sanctuary for the mind, body, and soul. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, the staff had prepared special touches and surprises for us, which we deeply appreciated. The large terrace, open-air bathroom, and bathtub made it feel both luxurious and peaceful. One of the most special parts of our stay was the daily 9:00 AM meditation sessions led by Indra. Her calming energy, combined with gentle yoga, breathwork, Tibetan singing bowls, and sacred rituals, created a deep inner peace. We also joined her Hatha Yoga class, which was taught with genuine care and international-level professionalism. She even taught us how to make traditional Balinese flower offerings — a cultural highlight we’ll never forget. Desya, a young intern at the property, was incredibly kind, cheerful, and helpful. He took the time to connect with us beyond just hospitality. In fact, every member of the staff was warm, respectful, and attentive. We felt truly at home thanks to their kindness. The restaurant is located at the very top of the resort with a breathtaking view and an infinity pool. Breakfast was one of the best we had in all of Indonesia — rich, fresh, and full of variety. Lunch and dinner menus were also diverse and delicious. Prices were fair overall for a property of this standard, though wine was significantly more expensive than at similar hotels. The spa was also a lovely experience. We enjoyed both reflexology and a full-body massage, both of which were excellent. However, the atmosphere could be improved — softer background music, incense, or essential oils would enhance the relaxation experience. Considering the prices (the highest we encountered in Bali), we expected a more refined spa ambiance, though the massage itself was wonderful. The hotel does offer airport and local transfer services, but they are quite pricey. Also, there’s no scooter rental available on-site, which could be a small inconvenience for those who want to explore the area more freely. Overall, this is the perfect destination for anyone looking to reconnect with themselves, slow down, and embrace nature in a meaningful way. We left feeling restored, inspired, and grateful. Highly recommended!

My partner and I had a wonderful time at Maha Hills Resort! Our room was stunning and so spacious with absolutely fantastic service. The staff were all so friendly and empathic of my dietary requirements (Coeliac - gluten free) and tried their best to cater for me regardless of them still learning about it. The Indonesian food they made was very tasty. The spa was also an absolute delight, I had a massage, body scrub, madi/Pedi and did a yoga class and enjoyed every activity. The real winner of this place (well, equal to the fantastic service) was the location. Although you are limited by the isolation, it is in an absolutely beautiful location in the north of Bali and really close to the Aling-Aling waterfall areas. It was fantastic for relaxing, experiencing the waterfalls, and using the spa and I definitely recommend for anyone who wants something a bit different to the usual bali experience. The only possible negatives to share depend on your preferences as a traveller - there are a lot of stairs up to the restaurant (hence the beautiful view from the top) and going anywhere outside the resort isn't easy (requires getting transport or having your own). But if you're looking for a more remote and relaxing stay in the hills of Bali I definitely recommend Maha Hills.

**Amazing Stay at Maha Hills Resort - A True Home Away from Home** We recently had the pleasure of staying at Maha Hills Resort for three unforgettable days, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who made us feel right at home. The resort itself is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our room was beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with natural elements, and it provided the perfect retreat to unwind after a day of exploring. What truly sets Maha Hills apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, always attentive to our needs and ready to help with a smile. Their dedication made our time at Maha Hills feel extra special. In summary, Maha Hills Resort is a hidden gem that offers not only luxury and comfort but also a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and a longing to return. If you're looking for a place to relax, recharge, and feel truly cared for, Maha Hills Resort is the perfect choice. Also, resort has 2restaurants, where you can have amazing, delicious food.

Mahaills is an amazing resort to stay if you need peace and tranquility from your every day life. Set amongst the hills, rice and marigold fields are well placed and beautifully decorated villas and rooms. The views from all angles of the rooms takes in the postcard landscape. Across the entire resort you are greeted on a daily basis by staff who are forever smiling, funny, charming and inquisitive. All staff members make you feel like family not guests. The staff always make sure you are content, comfortable and happy. They are attentive to all your needs/requests and will go out of their way to accommodate. The staff genuinely care about you. The food is outstanding, but what stands out mostly is the way that it is cooked with passion and opens up all your senses. Along with the chefs, the waitstaff take pride in presenting the food and beverages to you at the table. The spa treatments are soothing, you can choose to have indoor or outdoor treatments. The sound of the waterfall takes you into deep relaxation mode and feeling of calmness. What will stay with us forever will be the kind nature of the Balinese staff. They are inquisitive, funny, caring, eager to have a chat. Mahahills is infectious, outstanding and peaceful, can’t wait to return. Words cannot describe the beauty, only your eyes and experience...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Maha Hills Resort, and We cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive, greeting us warmly and always checking in on our well-being throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly made us feel valued and cared for.

The staff's recommendations for activities were spot on, providing us with great insights into how to make the most of our time there.

The dining experience was fantastic, with delicious food served at both restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the vegan restaurant, which showcased a wonderful selection of dishes. Additionally, Maha Hills is the only place I found around that serves proper espresso coffee—definitely a highlight for any coffee lover!

The rooms are beautifully designed, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, rice fields, and even the ocean in the background. It's a picturesque setting that adds to the overall experience.

However, it's worth noting that the resort does have a lot of steps, which might make it less suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Overall, our stay at Maha Hills Resort was delightful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway with excellent service, beautiful scenery,...
