short version||Nunu is only 2 months old and is currently still an absolute hidden gem! The best resort of all we stayed in Bali, so don't think about it, just book it. You will definitely not regret it! ||long version||NuNu is run by a very nice young man from London. He has traveled the world himself for years, so he knows exactly what is important in good resort. He is a very open-hearted and nice person and that is exactly what is very important to him with all of his employees. All the people are very nice, friendly and you quickly get a feeling of “family”. |We never locked our doors and our valuables were left by the pool when we were out, why? Because everyone here pays attention to each other's things. |The host puts all his energy into this project. He is very grateful for any ideas or suggestions you give. For example, he offers free drinking water for everyone by treating tap water with special filters. I suggested that all rooms and guests should have free, washable glass bottles available so that nobody had to buy plastic bottles first. A day later he brought bottles for all. The resort is his baby and he does everything to get the best out of it. ||The facility is a little further away from the main road, when you exit the main road into a small access road, you can immediately tell from the paintings on the wall that you are on the right track. The green area is extremely lovingly designed. There are two pools, one in the shade and one in the sun. There are beautiful palm trees and plants everywhere on the property. There is a nice yoga area with small water ponds with fish and water lilies. Everything is extremely well maintained. On the complex there are several bungalows or houses made of wood that you can rent as a rooms.||There is a cold water barrel with 4.3 degrees Celsius water. The host uses this every morning as a ritual to get up, but it is available to everyone. We tried it ourselves and I can only recommend: Just try it, it feels good! ||We turned the larger 4-person bungalow with single beds into a double room. The bungalows are made entirely of wood, which means you can hear your neighbors well :) If that bothers you, just take one of the double rooms (double bed, instead of single beds pushed together), then you have your own bungalow. We were advised of this when booking, but it wasn't a problem for us. The bungalows all have small wooden windows but behind them a real glass pane, so that everything can be closed properly, e.g. because of mosquitoes. A perfectly aligned (not aimed at the bed, or hanging over the bed) and very quiet AC completes the room. We're light sleepers and we were still able to leave the air conditioning on all night, something we've never been able to do in any resort before. Behind the bungalow you can access the partly external bathroom through a sliding door. This means that around 70% of the bathroom is covered, such as the shower, the sink and the toilet. The rain shower was super hot and has nice water pressure to give a good rinse on long hair and the complimentary shampoo and body gel smells sooo nice. I think the owner should offer and sell the shampoo as take away. The bathroom is really good cleaned here, unlike in most other hotels. A clean bathroom after currently 8 weeks of Indonesia trip was really great!||This resort is a real insider tip, inexpensive and incredibly beautiful. If you come across that one bad review, let me say: it is unfair to blackmail companies with “bad reviews” to try and get money back even though there is no justification for the bad review. We didn't see any bugs and we were informed of all additional costs upon arrival! Young companies in particular are extremely threatened by something like this, as good reviews are extremely important in order to get the hotel started. As a guest, I can only do one thing here: counter it with the truth, a very positive review. My wife and Me will definitely come back, this was the best stay in all of...

I'm not sure why other reviews are raving so much about this place. Okay yes the garden is beautiful and the staff are friendly but atm there are some things that require maintenance and it's not being done. I was staying in the dorm room. It's on the more basic side without curtains, no personal lights,... But fine. But the bathroom cabinet has a big burnmark on it and is also suffering from water damage. The water intake for the toilet is leaking, the tap is loose, and it seems like they never do a deep clean. Their little window thing in the bathroom is full of dust and bugs. The roof also leaks when it rains. They have a communical kitchen but there is no cutlery and it appears quite dirty. Also there is no fridge. I did find a fridge that was turned off in their "bar" area which I ended up using but this one definitely also needs a deep clean. All in all, the place is quite cheap but I have definitely slept in nicer places in a better location for about the same price. Also, only book this is if you want to be in the middle of nowhere and are looking for rest. Canggu is about 30 min away by scooter and there are no other food places or shops close by to Nunu. Nunu's own restaurant has a good selection of food though. I feel like someone tried to build their version of paradise but then forgot about a bunch of things and all the maintenance that actually needs to be done to make it paradise. Again, it's definitely an alright stay, but some things could for sure be improved. That being said, the activities the staff organise are...

Wonderful experience at this cozy, little gem! I don’t know where to start…The location is truly fantastic, with its breathtaking surroundings of the authentic Balinese landscape. The travel by scooter is an experience itself. Once there, you are simply immersed in the nature and its bright green colours. The resort is stunning, cured in the smallest detail. There is a lovely pool with a rice field view, a big patio to practice and do yoga, extremely cleaned and well kept gardens all around, with also a little river crossing the property. It feels just like a slice of heaven! I loved everything of our room, from the open bathroom, to the sustainable, eco friendly little touches. I can see they truly care for and respect the environment, which is a great plus! The team at Nunu is so nice, always smiling and present. They welcomed us at the door knowing already who we were, showed us all the areas and brought us a lovely, traditional welcome drink. In the morning we had the continental breakfast, included in our rate, which was nicely served to us on request at the tables by the pool. They also have a yummy protein shake! The second day we tried the American breakfast and was so delicious. All was perfect. Only regret: I wish I stayed longer! On my next trip to Bali this will be my #1 destination! Thank you to all the team, and thank to who designed and opened Nunu allowing us to experience such a wonderful stay <3 we can’t wait to be back ! Ele & Chris

When you make a reservation for this place is like buying a ticket to paradise. Since we crossed the entrance door it felt like a dream. The garden, the frangipani and the incense scent, the lovely smiles of the staff always prompt to make your journey pleasant. If you are looking for a place far away from the crowded Canggu traffic and you want to immerse yourself in the peaceful nature, this is definitely the place for you. The property is located 20 minutes from the centre of Canggu, offers different free and paid activities like yoga, movie night, fire pit, ice bath, massages and community walk to the rice field and a close waterfall. I tried one of the massages and was a beautiful experience (thank you Enri (hope I got the name correctly) The room are well equipped, the bed was super comfortable and the wifi connection was working really well. They offer food, but if you want you can easily order delivery by using Grab. You have 2 swimming pools and the property provides you beach towels :) I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel, was really sad to leave and I will definitely try to go back. Thank you for making my stay so extraordinary Nice to have an hair drier, but for the rest I have nothing to complain. I miss this place already
