Bad attitude of the owner; cleaning; red ants ; cockroaches; geckos; missing hot drinking water; some times missing drinking water; lack of refrigerator ;dirty beach; ; lack of stores and restaurants; every item of toiletries, changing sheets and towels you have to ask for, lack of transportation;lack of fruits; lack of Wi Fi.||All this story started from my booking.On the booking.com was information that the room comes with the breakfast and also a dinner can be purchased for extra price it was a big plus for me since I had a stroke in the past and I can’t use the motorbike or the car since then and long distances is a borden for me and I used the trip for the recovery from my illness.||One week before my arrival the owner sent me the message that the breakfast is not included and I have to pay extra for it, like he made the mistake on his page. ||But why he was waiting for it for a whole month? ||I called to the booking.com and let them know of that, the agent was agreed with me and promised me that everything will remained the same as I booked. ||After that I’m getting the message from the owner that I’m not welcome there and better for me not to come.||Everybody knows the difference between booking in advance and in the last minute and also I’m a kind of person who doesn’t like to change the plans in the last minutes, so I refused not to come and thought I’ll fix the problem with the owner after I come and maybe we will become friends after all .||But when I came the owner meet me with the sour face even after my offers how to fix the problem he refused to do so. During conversation I asked him if I can buy dinner for entire month he told me that they don’t do diners even he did it for other guests. My breakfast I received after all but reduced one Unfortunately I can’t write here everything I went through, you can make an idea of this place and location from my story. The space has a life stock of different insects who bites and leave marks on your body. There are no restaurants and stores around, even it listed on the owners site that they exist.The closest restaurant and stores is a mile away. The owner has a bad attitude not just toward me but also to the people I contacted there while I stay and people from the same country I came from.||Now I want let people know what kind of location is there. The beach is very dirty and beside me and some of local people on weekends there were nobody.I was a witness many times how the people who leaved there throw garbage and remains off the meals right on the beach. The cows and the goats is a regulars there which attracted me in the beginning till I sawed what they leave there after presence. All of that I guess brought the send flies on the beach which makes it difficult to be there.People who leave there generally nice, but they hate Americans, I have no idea why. Now I want to tell something about nice people there who helped me to make my vacation a little bit better. One mile from there is a nice guest house with the restaurant, where I eat every day my lunch and dinner, basically I left there the money I could spend in Marifi it was about 3 million in there currency. The owner gave me at once 10% discount after he find out that I’ll eat there every day for a month. They were providing me with a boiled water for free, which I supposed to receive from the place I was staying. The manager of that place drive me every day to the place when he were meeting me on the road walking to the restaurant and if his friend was there he were bringing me back to the hotel. And on my last day he dropped me off at the ferry and all of that was for free. He even did not except the money from me for the ride. Read moreMarifi Я бронировал комнату в Marifi guesthouse на три дня, но в итоге прожил восемь: сказалась расслабляющая атмосфера индонезийской деревни, а также завязавшееся знакомство с другим русскоговорящим туристом. Однако, чем дольше я там находился, тем больше раздражали негативные стороны пребывания в этом месте. Гестхаус расположен в нетуристической части острова. С одной стороны - это плюс: меньше приезжих, почти пустой пляж и, казалось бы, более низкие цены. Но минус - отсутствие минимальной инфраструктуры, необходимой для отдыха - пожалуй, перевешивает. По пляжу бродят коровы, всюду оставляя следы своего пребывания; довольно много мусора... А две главные проблемы: еда и собственно море. Нормально поесть там да и в соседней деревне, по сути, невозможно: в местных варунгах даже куриного мяса не встретишь: рис, лапша, миниатюрные рыбки. При этом цены - от 15 до 30 тысяч рупий. Фрукты, к сожелению, здесь тоже не продаются, за исключением бананов и чумпо. Поплавать в море, увы, тоже можно далеко не всегда: большую часть дня глубина - чуть выше колена. Купаться предпочтительно в тапочках, чтобы не поранить ноги о кораллы. Ещё один минус пляжа Pantai Pasir Putih - песчаные мухи. В принципе, все эти проблемы можно обойти, арендовав мотобайк (100000 IDR) и путешествуя по всему острову, останавливаясь на других пляжах. Это так, но зачем тогда жить в Marifi? Может, гестхаус так хорош, что другие аспекты отдыха там выглядят незначительными? Мне кажется, что это не так. Двухэтажное здание гестхауса расположено на маленькой деревенской улочке, поэтому шум, издаваемый мотобайками, петухами, козами, цесарками разбудит уже вскоре после рассвета. Около 7 утра хозяин гестхауса заведет свой автомобиль, и это заменит будильник. Я жил на первом этаже, и эти звуки мне особенно досаждали. В комнате временами было душно, но дверь открывать не хотелось: лёжа на кровати можно видеть людей во дворе дома напротив, ну и наоборот: постель перед ними, как на ладони. Хозяевам следовало бы подумать о чем-то типа занавески. В ванной комнате меня удивило отсутствие раковины. Видимо, поэтому и мыло не положили - зачем? Простыню или одеяло пришлось просить у жены хозяина. В комнате две розетки, но их расположение таково, что вентилятор или не обдувает кровать, или стоит вплотную к изголовью, но на минимальную скорость не включается. Кондиционера не было. Встретили меня в гестхаусе очень сдержанно: вручили ключ от номера, и все. Только потом я узнал про второй этаж, где есть общая веранда с местом для барбекю, а также устройством, предназначенном для кипячения и охлаждения воды. Однако, электрический провод был обрезан, и можно было лишь налить воду комнатной температуры в тех случаях, когда она была. По моему мнению, наличие бесплатного Wi-Fi обязательно для современного отеля или гестхауса, но в Marifi такая услуга не предоставляется. Когда я уже собрался уезжать, выяснилось, что стоимость трансфера на автомобиле до паромного причала, предлагаемого хозяином, 100000 рупий, и это, по его словам, минимально возможная цена, независимо от вида транспорта. Это оказалось ложью, или мне повезло: меня отвезли на мотоцикле за 25000. Надо отметить, что отношение хозяев к отдыхавшим одновременно со мной французам и индонезийцам было более заботливым, чем ко мне и американцу русского происхождения, с которым у него был конфликт. Стремление максимально сэкономить на предоставляемых услугах и получить побольше за дополнительные услуги - вот что бросается в глаза.
