Saparua is a truly great and largely undiscovered destination, and this lodge is a great place to stay. Situated behind a mangrove (with part of the lodge giving an open view to the sea and wonderful sunsets), this place consists of several small bungalows around a wonderful garden with coconut palms and a pool. At the back of the complex is an old nutmeg and clove plantation. Through the lodge, you can arrange to dive in the area at very affordable prices (do note, however, that the local diving instructor observes the Sunday, fair warning). Right from the pier next to the lodge, one can also do some pretty decent snorkeling (even on Sunday) - the reef is at swimming distance and quite pristine. The family that runs this place is very kind, helpful and relaxed, serves the most wonderful food (breakfast and dinner is included in the rates, and a nice and affordable lunch can be provided on request), and speaks good English. While I recognize that some of the older fan-only rooms are due for some renovation (there are, however, also newer ones with airco) they are tidy and atmospheric, and this does little to diminish the fact that this place is an unrecognized gem, well worth your speed boat...

Hotel paling indah, merekomendasikannya 100%!

Beta menyukainya 👍🏻

Beautiful place, 100% recommended! The gardens in which all the rooms are set are stunning in themselves, and in the grounds there's lots of little corners and areas set up for people to sit and enjoy being outside - these are really perfect with friends at night with the little lights hanging in the trees overhead. There's a clean pool in the middle as well as a small pier that sticks out through the trees and into the sea. There's also a restaurant/common room with TV and a small gift shop counter.

The owners are the friendliest people you could hope to meet and are very accommodating, willing to help with anything you need: renting a bike for the day, a snorkelling trip, local info, anything like that. They provide you with free breakfast buffet and dinner every day, and throughout the day will cook you up some Indomie if you want a quick lunch. Tea, coffee, and water are free and available throughout the day.

This hotel is a perfect base from which to explore the whole island (which is gorgeous!) or just to stay in and relax....

I wouldn't recommend staying here. Stayed for three nights myself and wouldn't do it again. The rooms are old & moldy, the beds uncomfortable and disintegrating, the pool has algae, the poolside chairs fall apart when you sit on them... Everything is just too far gone and beyond saving imo. I do wish that this place will flourish again, I wish the owners all the best and thank them for doing everything...
