Bukit Daun Hotel And Resort — Hotel in Semen

I’m here with my fiancé, we’re having a standard room and nothing to say upon it.|The room is big, clean, funcional, the bathroom is filled with shampoo, soap, beauty amenities and the shower has hot water, the toilet has toilet paper which here in South Asia is a big plus as normally they use the rear shower.|Cleaning service everyday so the room is ok.|The place is huge and peaceful so you will able to sleep, relax and rest really good.|Let’s talk about the pool.|The pool is big, Max deep of 1,30 and has also a lower part where you can sit and enjoy the dolphins fountains spilling water.|There is also an area for kids.|The “problem” is that you have to wear a burkini to swim (the Muslim edition of a bikini), which I don’t have. |I went to swim in any case with my swimsuit and had few “glances” from the ladies there. |The breakfast is from 7 to 10, you will have tickets for it and the restaurant is nice and poolside.|The service is ok but tonight we came to have dinner and at 8pm and we asked for meat with vegetables and they didn’t had the meat. So we asked for chicken, and didn’t had the chicken. I asked for a sushi burrito, and “it’s sold out”, for a pizza cone, “sold out”.|It’s Friday night and this is a resort, with romantic options for couples. |I think that at least having the kitchen ready to prepare what they have on the menu.|They also have a gym here but you have to pay to access to it, it’s the first time in my life that I have to pay to access to the gym of the hotel I’m staying at.|With the structure they have they could be easily an international hotel and resort but it’s not well...

My period of stay was June 28-29, to attend a training. I was 1 of the committee for the training, n therefore, preparation was necessary. The staff were fine, they give us what we asked but it's not enough to support our requirement. The crucial thing is layout. The training was held for 78 people exclude the committee, n we do rely on layout since we are using indoor n outdoor venues for sessions. What happen was, we were LOST! The layout did not represent the current situation, n things got worse (specific in duration between sessions) because it took quite long and far for us to catch from here and there, and there were LESS DIRECTION BOARD to guide us where we are or where we need to go..

The staff were nice n polite but not well armed with solutions.

The food n coffee break menu was okay. It was not outstanding but it was not bad at all. If u prefer less sugar, better to add more water to ur tea or coffee cup.

Breakfast menu was fine. It was sunny n bright. The river view was nice.. I hope they have egg station which able to provide sunny side up or omelettes.. or maybe they have but I wasn't aware. My mind was focusing on how far n how long the participants need to get back to the meeting venue..

I was staying at junior suite room, which I hope will have more amenities. As for me, standard toilet amenities are soap, shampoo, brushing kit, & shower cap. This hotel provides candy bar soap n brushing kit.

But overall, this place has its own selling points. My experience will not be the same as other reviews. Just be happy n every happy things...

I went to this resort to spent weekend during my off days. It surrounded by small river and trees between the building. The place located 189-meters from MSL and only 15-mins from Kediri City Center. That makes this place quite cool since gusts of wind stream from Wilis and Klotok Mountain. My two cents opinion about this resort are:||(+) PROS:||a. Location is perfect, quite calm and not much noise.|b. The resort price affordable among the same level of resort in East Java.|c. The food delicious and the price also affordable.|d. The room are clean as well as with the bathroom and toilet.|e. Spacious room and the bed so comfort, makes your sleep quality improve.|f. The staff is friendly and helpful.|g. The place has a lot of parking lot and the security patrol every hours.||(-) CONS:||a. The place surrounded by some interesting place, such as Pohsarang (Lucem) Inscription, Pohsarang Terrace Rice Field, Sumber Podang River, Pohsarang Church, etc. However, there are no promotion package for visitor to seek those place.|b. Since the room building close with the trees, weaver ants some occasion appear in the room.||Overall, I'm satisfied with the resort and willing to comeback again...
