Rooms : 5 star! We got a twin bed room but we request to be merged without any hustle. Room is big, clean and spacious with a balcony facing the mountain. You can chill and see the lights above and below the mountain at night. The only minus maybe the TV is not Smart TV yet(early 2023), but its a minor for us.
Family Activities : 5 star! If you bring your little ones, he/she will be very happy here. They have so many FREE activities like riding horses, mini archery, kids club with slide, 2 swimming pools with a kiddies pool (with slide) and rabbit house
Facilities : 4 star. They have a buggy rent, bicycle rent, (as i said above) 2 big swimming pools, a big dock for taking photos of the mountains and do selfies, but the minus is we didn't see any other sport facilities for the grown-up like tennis court or basketball court. Yes there is a golf court just beside the hotel, but since we're not into golf and its not a free facilities we ignoring them. But if you're into golf and want to bring your family here maybe its a plus for you. And oh the parking area is big, but the basement parking is not that big and during our stay is full. So we parked our car outside, but its kinda far from the lobby. Altough you can request a ride to the parking spot, but still will be a hassle during rainy days (which we were there during rainy season)
Food : 5 star! They have so many food to try. From ordinary Indonesians, Sundanese (west java foods like Empal Gentong etc), Croissants, Cakes and Bread, Porridge, and even Japanese (mostly Sushis) but they are good. The sushi taste good and fresh! The beverages are complete too, from tea, juices, fresh milks, and just like the other 5-star hotels they have coffee machines
Location : 4 star. The hotel location is somewhat plus and also a minus. The minus is this hotel still kinda far from the highway exit, yet still not as high and cold as Puncak area (feels just like slightly elevated from Sentul area). But the plus is since this hotel is not in Puncak area (which usually very heavily congested with traffic during holidays and weekends) so this hotel is safe from traffic.
Overall : 23/25! Another great hotel line for the Tulip franchise! But still we think that Golden Tulip Holland Resort Batu still tops this Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis, but its...

They offers you a lot of facilities, especially for kids activities. All the staffs are polite and friendly, they always greets with smile and i remembered the GRO staff who gave me an upgrade for a room view, namely ms. Yola, and ms. Fitria, who gave my kids butter cake as a goodie when check out time.. thank you, you are all very lovely. And thank you also to All the staffs on the lounge, concierge, room service, etc.. You are all also very nice.
The kids were given an interesting indoor and outdoor activities, most of them are free and some you have to pay.
There are a lot of breakfast variety and all taste good. A little input for the desert counter, please add a little bit of savory taste for the coconut milk of sweet glutinous rice. For efficiency, it would be better if the breakfast stalls could be arranged not too scattered and make the classification of the food easier to search too.
Lunch menu is quite good, tried the LL resto with their beef ribs, kids menu salmon teriyaki and mango sticky rice as the desert, all taste good but it was quite pricey. You could try also to get an alternative food outside the hotel, maybe around puncak or bogor area, however it will take you some time for the distance is quite far and also you will meet some traffics.
The room are clean, and the size of the room was comfortable enough. The amenities also good.
One of the reason i choose to stay in Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis was to enjoy yoga in the zen deck and to take pictures on the zen deck since the view from the zen deck is breathtaking, however, the yoga activity only happens every sunday, so i couldn't make it and the zen deck was under maintenance, so i have a little bit disappointment on this..
In conclution.. Would greatly recommend Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis to friends and collegues, and if there's an opportunity to stay again near bogor / puncak area will defitinely choose Royal Tulip for first...
Β Β Β Read moreThis is our second visit in one month, and third in less than a year. We really do love this hotel and enjoy spending quiet weekends here.||The hotel's grounds are beautiful, the facilities fantastic and the food is delicious. Rooms are spacious and well appointed.||However, there are some areas that would certainly benefit from improvement. |1. The lower pool has a very large number of broken or missing tiles and they are obvious to both the eyes and feet. |2. The Upper Pool (Adult Pool) desperately needs some sort of step to get in and out of the water. Not all adults are 25 and just back from the gym! |3. The Upper Pool is designated as an Adults Only pool, but there is zero policing of this policy. Why have the signs if you don't enforce it?|4. Service standards need to be significantly improved. | - In the restaurants staff don't know what the nightly specials are, what wines should smell or taste like, and food is brought out in any order (including mains before starters). It is such a shame, because the food is actually sensational, but the lack of knowledge around what is being served is frustrating. Also, I would love it if the wine menu is offered at the same time as the food and beer menu! On every occasion, I had to ask for the wine menu. I didn't even realise that one of your restaurants served wine because no mention was made of it. This is not a dry hotel, so why hide the wine menu?|- The speed of housekeeping to respond to requests for additional towels, blankets etc could certainly be improved. Each time I needed an additional item for the room, I had to make several calls and go to Reception for assistance. ||The staff are all lovely and seem to be trying their hardest. My personal view is that more targeted training needs to be provided to ensure that they have the knowledge required by a 5 star hotel, and the autonomy to make decisions on their own.||We will definitely be back, and we have had yet another wonderful stay. But if the hotel wants to stay competitive with other 5 star hotels, then I think there is room for...
