Hotel Ratna Juwita - Batusangkar — Hotel in Sumatra

It was my first trip to Batusangkar but second for my husband and this was our very time time staying in a homestay. The host was warm and hospitable and she made our 3 days/2 nights stay so comfortable that we felt it was like our own home. The room was clean with basic amenities and bed was comfortable with make-your-own beverages in the living/dining area. A simple local breakfast of noodles or fried rice with salads were provided in the morning and little touches like local cakes were on the table for snacks in the afternoons. After our last enjoyable stay in 2012, we stayed here again when we had our business in the university. We had loved this place as the host and her staff were friendly and helpful and we're always ready to lend a hand. The room we had this time was larger, bright and airy with all the comforts of a hotel. It was clean and refreshing each time we walked in. At the first experience when looking and searching this homestay it's confusing and a little bit scary (arrive at night) because it's not on the main street.
