Bukit Samudra — Hotel in Sumbawa

The place is good but our experience to stay in here is not🥲

Me and my friend stayed here for 3 nights, the place is really nice and beautiful!!Also right next to the surf spot!Which is great!!! But the room is build with wood so you can hear all the sounds around you. Like the sounds of nature or the people next door talking.

For the food, we tried the poke bowl at the restaurant. It doesn’t have much flavour. I will not order again. My other friends ordered the smoothie bowl , they said it’s more like juice so they returned it back.

For the service, I asked the staff to open my room twice and waiting for over one hour and they still forgot about it which is not helpful at all.

If you looking for place to have a good rest, don’t come here!😪 We come here for surf and chill. So we surf everyday and we’re really tired already just want to have early rest and sleep but they have the live band on Friday night. If you like it then it’s perfect for you. But not for us.🙄Since 7pm I already hear the music and it’s super loud!!! Also the room is not sound proof at all. The ear plugs they provide were not helpful as well. I still can hear everything. Until 10:30 pm they’re still playing which is really so annoying!!! Because we just want to sleep!!😩😩I even yelled on them said to stop and we need to sleep but they just still playing😓😞After the band finally finished around 10:40 and they still talking really loud…… I would not recommend anyone...

We feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered this gem! Julien and his team have truly set a new standard for hospitality, quality, and culinary excellence in western Sumbawa. While we're not surfers and didn't come for the nearby breaks, we were eager to explore the region and its people. We stayed at Bukit Samudra by coincidence since our airbnb was cancelled and it was soooo nice. Everything is brand new and they were still in there soft opening face. Just wanted to stay for a night and then stayed for three nights. The wooden bungalows are super beautiful, the staff nice, the food good and relatively cheap priced. Bintang just 35k for sumbawa is fire! And the best of all is the amazing owner Jitse. She helped us a lot with organizing stuff and is a workaholic.
