Nice little hotel in the centre of Solo. The front is wheelchair accessible with no steps. There are lifts. The room I'm in has a walk-in shower with only a very small step to stop drips; very nice. IMO it's a very accessible hotel, although I'd like to see rails in the shower and toilet. I think it's fine for guests with walkers or sticks; maybe not so much for wheelchairs as it would be hard to transfer to the toilet.
The restaurant is nice. Food selection is good if not huge; quality and presentation are also very good. Staff are extremely helpful, although I don't think many of them speak English. There are water-stations all around the hotel, which is amazing and about the first place I've seen to do this; it's easy and convenient to get as much drinking-water as you need (in addition to room supply, which is generous).
The mid-sized meeting room is perfect for training with 7 students and 3 teachers; it's even spacious enough to have meals in there (as we did last night when an event fillled the dining-room). It has carpet and floor-ceiling curtains so it's pretty quiet.
There's a small gym with five new, sturdy pieces of exercise equipment: treadmill, bike, elliptical and some weight machines. Also a set of dumbells. It has aircon, and is in a quiet corner off the lobby, so it's easy to get to and open early (I've been there before 6am) and late (after 6. It's not staffed, so please turn off the a/c when you're done!
Very enjoyable stay, possibly the best I've had on a training trip...notwithstanding the higher star rating of some...
Read moreDespite the name, this hotel on Solo's main road is not that big, consisting of 3 levels of rooms and the ground floor for lobby, restaurant, and meeting rooms. I also think it's more suited to a 3-star rating than a 4-star (as claimed on the hotel website), judging from the facilities. Beside the quite inviting swimming pool, there's not much else. There's no gym, and the "fitness & spa" next to the lobby is actually just a few rooms with massage beds. ||||The bedrooms have a decent size and simple decoration. Shower and toilet are separated and the area lies in obstructed view from the sleeping area, which is a good thing (especially if you're staying with someone you're not intimate with) because the cubicles are made of frosted glass. I don't like the shower head, though, it only gives tiny water sprays.||||If you are in Solo for a short stay or business purposes, and not expecting a lot of frills from your accommodation, then the easily accessible Move Megaland could be an option. Just across the hotel there's a mini-mart (Indomaret) and next to the hotel there's a 24-hour cafe that is popular as a late...
Read moreThe room was big enough and good for sleep. However there were several problems during I stayed there on 27 November 2021. First room 346 that hotel booked for me had a problem with the shower tap that very hard to be opened. Reported to FO then the maintenance guy came and tried to fix it with no success. The recommendation was moving to the other room (#350). After the hotel checking the room's condition, they asked me to move in to that room. Unfortunately, around 30 minutes after the AC installation started leaking and dripped to the floor. Again, I reported to the FO and FO sent the maintenance people to fix it. (I heard, the room next to.our room had the same problem, and the hotel moved him to the other room. This is based on the maintenance people info). Finally the problem was fixed. My recommendation to the hotel: please check thoroughly the room condition before giving to the customer.......I believed that the hotel can improve their...
