Just came back from two nights at this wonderful hotel. It may be a little rough around the edges, and the facilities could certainly do with a bit of a face lift however, what it lacks in glitz and glamour it more than makes up for in customer service and friendliness. We are just an average family, but the staff there made us feel like royalty.Nothing was too much trouble and no requests were turned down. Our lack of fluent Bahasa wasn't too much of a problem as some of the staff could speak English. One of the most relaxing places we've ever stayed at. Rooms are comfortable with air-con, tv, kettle, tea and coffee, and a bar fridge (with 2 bottles of water provided each day.. The rooms have a wet bathroom, which means no partition between the shower and the rest of the room. Toilet sippers are provided, so no soggy feet! The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was absolutely immaculate! Restaurant and room service are both 24 hours, and the food was wonderful. Breakfast is included and, although there was not a huge range in the buffet, in the interest of not having too much food wasted, think the amount was just right. Mostly Indonesian food but some western food offered as well. There is a shuttle bus which can take you to and from the ferry terminal, as well as to Rimba Jaya, the big food court and night market, which was a lot of fun. Both of these buses are free. As there is no real public transport to speak of, you will need to hire the car and driver to go to some locations, but the price was very good. We did this a couple of times and the drivers were very happy to go wherever we asked them too. The driver who brought us back from Rimba Jaya even stopped for us so that we could buy some fruit on the way home! We will definitely be going back to enjoy the lovely Indonesian hospitality, and the beautiful smiles of all the staff. Such humble but lovely people. They even gave us gifts when we left! Forget the high-end resorts, this hotel...
Read moreThis resort was a ripoff. All the nice pictures you see are old. Almost everything is broken. Our cabin was super dirty as if they haven’t cleaned in years. The sheets were dirty and had stains, the towels were used and just rolled up like if they were cleaned. The air conditioning and lights kept on going out. The restroom had a leak, you could hear rats on the roof at night. We woke up with tons of bites all over our body from the dirty beds. The windows don’t close either, and we saw a big spider just crawl in from there. There was NO customer service, they didn’t bother to make any sort of effort to accommodate to your needs. When we tried to ask for the things they were advertising like fishing, bike riding, kayaking, canoeing, and a few other things. They said that they didn’t have it and it was broken. They only had one pink canoe and it had no oars except for a broken stick and it didn’t balance. In the restaurant you will get spicy spaghetti everyday for breakfast, so if you have children who don’t eat spicy food, they will starve until noon. You will also have the exact same food for lunch and dinner everyday, so if you don’t like it, good luck. When we left, they came to our room with zero supplies to clean and they just did the bed and took the keys to get ready to give them to someone else. We were so disgusted because we had just stayed in a room that hadn’t been cleaned and who knows how many others have stayed in that same dirty room. We payed a very high price per person and we were ripped off. We were so disappointed. PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE! The pictures on the website are OLD! They were taken when it first opened because most of the cabin’s roofs are caved in and not safe at all. The look of the island is so different from the...
Read moreWe stayed in Bougainville, spacious room with nice terrace, but smelly linen n towels, leaking ceiling, everything was broken and dirty. Body soap felt like liquid detergent. Forget about the other types of room on the list, they are in the worst state imaginable. Sun loungers were soggy with rain water and dirts. Submarine boat didn't operate. Staffs were neglectful, didn't bother to make efforts. Used cups and glasses were left dirty on the table since we arrived, despite it being in a place where everyone passed. As guests, we felt more as a disturbance being there rather than anything. Didn't go for snorkelling nor diving, unsure of how serious they are in safety after seeing the state of everything around the island.||||Still, all meals are provided, Indonesian style, not bad, but drinking water is only provided during meal time. We were lucky to bring our own bottles. No ice, no coffee.||||The resort should have just closed, not worth any penny, let alone the TOP price that we paid, IDR 1,735,000 per person per night. Felt like being scammed. They literally have spoiled the experience to enjoy beautiful turquoise sea and stunning sunset, really.||||Definitely...
