Better known by its real name of Rumah Ngade (Ngade House) this quiet guest house sits virtually by the side of Danau Ngade (Ngade Lake). Yes that is the lake featured in the signature image of Ternate along with Pulau Maitara featured on the 1000 rupiah bank note. Unfortunately there is no direct access to the lake (there should not be any), you are to go to the main road and follow it to the rather obscure access. Further down the road is an equally obscure junction to a view point up the hill. That is where the signature photograph is taken. Back to the rest house, other than airy and spacious room, expect no more.
