WOW . A Javanese boutique hotel, tastefully designed with an eye for details. The moment we stepped into the house, we felt the tranquillity and peace. The lady owner is extremely friendly and hospitable. My only regret is that I only stayed 1 night , and left for the airport early in the morning. |We just came from Phoenix hotel situated downtown, I must say this is much better - simple but beautifully decorated rooms and very very clean. There is a lot of charm in every corner of the house. I spoke to the man owner (the brother) to find out more. Apparently it took him 3 good years to build the amazing traditional java house just to ensure that it is able to withstand any earthquake shock with the best building material and a strong foundation. It was his home, he and his sister stayed here for 25 years before he rebuilt the house to welcome guests from domestic and abroad. He wanted for guests to experience the Javanese culture through his home. |It is brand new, less than a year old. Each room has a different theme (Bali, Jawa, Morocco, ..), all rooms are amazing. The beauty of this hotel is breathtaking with it's gardens. I will be back to Yogyakarta just to stay in this house. Definitely a 10 out of 10, highly...
Read moreThe cleanliness, hospitality and service is in another level, very awesome. I think the 5 stars hotel must learn it from them. The room was spacious, clean and fragrant. The bathroom was so clean also. The soap fragrance is my favorite. The very aesthetic building with Javanese Indies Lawasan style with the attractive fish pond in the middle makes us feel more comfortable. Plus 24hours snacks that you can eat for free. You must try the hot ginger drink. The owner, receptionist and servants are so nice. Welcoming us with warm heart, they also love to have a chit chat with us. The breakfast also nice and authentic with home cooked foods. Very highly recommended and will be...
Read moreWe had an exceptional stay at Rumah Jawa Guest House! From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel like at home. The level of cleanliness was impeccable, with great attention to even the smallest detail. Breakfast is freshly cooked and very delicious and the 24/7 availability of tea and traditional snacks is the cherry on the cake. The host (unfortunately cannot recall the name) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, indulging us in exquisite conversations about Indonesia and its unique cultural heritage, all filled with witty sarcasms. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a warm, charming, and...
