The staff is friendly and helpful; room was spacious enough, with flat TV that comes without channel list, comfortable bed, average cleanliness, and lack of basic maintenance (none of lamp switches functioning), room service available, however, no food menu to select from; my room came with free breakfast, which was of average quality (except for tea which was perfect), the restaurant looks like a dining hall, poorly maintained and cleaned, and no labels for served food, leaving it to client’s guess. .||This hotel is not bad provided more attention is given by the Management to fix those small annoying things. Read moreI stayed for 5 days in August, so it was pretty hot in Basra. As usual, the Tripadvisor map is wrong, so go find the correct location on Opensteeetmap. The hotel itself is OK. It is clean, the air conditioning mostly works - I had to change room to get one that did have working AC. Everything else in the room worked. The bathroom was clean and the shower good enough. Wifi in the room was good enough for Skype video. TV is from a satellite system. I had to do a rescan on it to find some English channels - BBC and MBC appeared, so that was enough.||||Food in the restaurant was limited and repetitive. Not great quality, but it did not make me ill.||||I would not have a problem coming...
