Hijry Hotel — Hotel in Baghdad

I came here following what I believed to be honest reviews. This hotel is by far one of the worst hotels I have gone to throughout my stay in Iraq . The only thing they have going for them is that they are on a street where a taxi can easily pick you up. The first thing I noticed was the owner in yelling on the phone in his office . Once entering the bathroom. It was beyond dirty , and smelled like bowel movements. Their was no cold water in the bathroom. The tv didn’t work either. The bed did not look made and no pillow cases on the pillows. The second floor cafe was so bad we waited an hour just to get coffee from a machine. We continued to wait for other stuff we ordered and it never came so we cancelled it and went out. The buffet is a whole other sad story .. it was just a waste of money. Other hotels close to imam mousa cost 5-10$ More and provide much more better accommodations...

The staff was a bit rude in the discussion ! He was a Syrian guy, his name is Yousef !Actually we called the reception to book a room one day before the check in date with a rate we confirmed! Then when we came to the check in time , they asked us for a higher rate !!! They are not professional at all with the customer care, not trained at all !!!? Anyhow its a hotel in Baghdad !
