High Crest Hotel — Hotel in Bakrajo subdistrict

This hotel is a 5-star sham. I made a reservation for my brother and his wife dated August 1- August 3 for Senior Suite with Jacuzzi, room number 607. I will be as detailed as possible.||||||I was extremely disappointed to find out that the room had no hot water until 2:50pm on Aug 2nd. ||||When I first started searching for hotels in Sulaimani, I wanted to make sure I was careful to pick among the best the city could provide for my brother's honeymoon. Based on research, it was clear my options were between High Crest, Grand Millennium, and Titanic hotel. I decided to pick High Crest with the impression that it had a lot of positive reviews online with a top rating from Booking.com. ||||Throughout the booking and checking in process, I was very satisfied with their staff and the degree of customer care they showed. The staff at the reception desk were helpful, friendly, and thorough in answering all my questions. As such, I was confident that my brother and his wife would have the perfect stay for their honeymoon.||||Unfortunately enough that was not the case. The room had no hot water from Friday night until late afternoon of Saturday. My brother called the reception about the issue shortly after their arrival on Friday night. The person on the phone told him he was going to send someone as soon as possible to find out what was wrong. About half an hour later, having no one showed up, he called the reception desk again to have the hotel staff tell him, “Really? No one has come to the room yet? Let me ask them again.” Someone finally showed up and investigated the problem. He told my brother and his wife that he will try to repair the water issue and, if a fix not possible, will have them switch to another room. ||||That night, the water issue was never taken care of and both the shower room and the Jacuzzi remained non-functional . The next day, from early morning to late afternoon, different people from the hotel staff came to the room nearly a dozen times to repair the water. They finally could bring hot water to the room at about 2:50pm on Saturday. Only then, the room’s shower and Jacuzzi were made available. ||||To be honest, I’m perplexed that the hotel staff did not offer to switch the room early on and decided they could make several visits into the room, thereby disturbing the privacy of m brother and his wife. I am sorry to have to say that I have never encountered any experience like this even in regular hotels let alone a well-reputed place like yours.||||I sent an email to the hotel management, asking to be refunded for the amount I paid. They responded that they were very sorry but offered no reimbursement. I will never consider this...

I recently visited High Crest Hotel and had quite a mixed experience. The ambiance was lovely, especially with the backyard garden where live music added to the atmosphere as families enjoyed their dinners. The setup had all the makings of a memorable evening.

However, the excitement was dampened by a few disappointments. While the restaurant's food looked incredibly delicious, it unfortunately left us feeling quite unwell afterwards. This has left me feeling quite suspicious about the quality of their ingredients, storage, or cooking practices.

The staff at High Crest Hotel were undeniably polite and accommodating, but the pacing of our dining experience was a major concern. It took an excruciatingly long time for our orders to finally make it to the table. The delay was so significant that my kids, who were eagerly awaiting their mini burgers, reached a point where they were in tears due to hunger and impatience.

Despite my best efforts to remind the staff about our order, the wait persisted and to our dismay, the wrong order was eventually brought to our table. This mix-up added to the overall frustration of the evening.

In conclusion, my visit to High Crest Hotel had its highlights, particularly the garden ambiance and the courteous staff. However, the issues with food quality, the extensive wait times, and the order mix-up are areas that require significant improvement.
