Teac Jack's- where do we begin to review your hotel and the fabulous team who run it and work there.
When Lawry and I decided to get married, without hesitation we knew it had to be in Teac Jackâs. So many fantastic stays there and wonderful memories made. It didn't come as a surprise to our friends and family that we'd choose not only to marry in Gweedore but to celebrate our day in Teac Jack's. Gary and all the staff were amazing. He went above and beyond to make our day so special and surpassed all our expectations. Our guests were treated like royalty from the minute they checked into their rooms until they checked out. Everyone remarked on how friendly and helpful the staff were, so helpful in fact that they thought they were told to act that way.No-one could put an act on like that without being nominated for an Oscar! đ€Ł We knew of course how fantastic the staff were as we experience it every time we are there. Then there is the food, not only on our wedding day, but from the breakfasts and evening meals too. The meal was incredible, every dish served piping hot , huge portions and the most delicious taste. Beautifully presented and again served by the staff who were exceptionally attentive. I could go on and on about Teac Jackâs and everyone who played a part in our wedding day, before and after but I'm running out of superlatives. There should be the ability to give more than a 5 star review and if that were the case Teac Jackâs would get 100 đ for location, accommodation, friendliness, amazing staff, food, absolutely everything. Gary, Brigeen, Anita and all the team at Teac Jackâs, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You guys weren't just part of our day, you made our day! Lawry and Barbara...
Read moreWe are traveling from the USA and our travel agent had booked us a room for the night in Derry. It was absolutely horrible so we decided not to stay there and to keep driving toward our next destination. ||While on the way, we went through the poisoned glen (10/10âŠ. Definitely check it out if you have time) and we thought we would find accommodations along the way. ||We stumbled upon Teac JacksâŠ. How lucky are we!!? ||The woman at the front desk was nothing short of an angel. She went SO FAR above and beyond to help make us comfortable, even offering to go and pick up the food we had ordered from a nearby take-away herself!!! (We arrived after the kitchen had closed or we certainly would have eaten here!) ||We are traveling as a group of 5 (myself, my mother and 3 kids)âŠ.. She went out of her way and came up to our room to bring us extra towels and soap that we hadnât even requested! ||The room was top notch! SO clean and comfortable!! By FAR the best place we have stayed in during our week in Ireland. I wish that we could stay here longer! If we ever get the chance to come back and visit this beautiful Island this will be the first place...
Read moreThis is a fantastic place to stay. The food is excellent with a great choice for vegans and vegetarians. The portions are very big and yet the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend that you book a table at reception for your meals as it is a very busy spot and a hub for all the locals.||The staff are very helpful and friendly. All facilities are accessible to anyone with disabilities with a centrally positioned lift. Also as Teach Jacks is in the heart of a Gaeltacht, all of the staff will speak Gaeilge to you if you wish to speak it to them; be that those with just a few words of Gaeilge to those who are fluent.||There is live music every night of the week for the summer months and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights thereafter as far as I know.||As for location, it is only a short distance from lots and lots of beautiful unspoiled beaches and lots of other interesting places with local ferry services to Inis Bó Finn during the summer months and to Tory Island...
