Mayo Glamping is truly a special find, and we can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how superb the owners are. Their warmth and attentiveness really make all the difference, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable stay.
One of the biggest wins for us was the fact that this is a truly dog-friendly and kid-friendly destination. Bringing our furry family member along was a huge bonus, and our children had an absolute blast exploring. They were particularly thrilled to discover wild strawberries growing along one of the paths during our walks – a delightful little surprise that made their day! Adding to the natural charm, the sound of birds singing at the end of the day and again in the morning was simply magical, a perfect soundtrack to the peaceful surroundings.
The unique design of the glamping site, resembling a hobbit village, is absolutely wonderful and truly sparks the imagination. It adds an extra layer of enchantment to the whole experience.
Even when the unpredictable Irish weather took a turn, our spirits weren't dampened in the slightest. We had the fantastic opportunity to cozy up and enjoy a family movie night in the charming on-site cinema – a brilliant touch that provided perfect entertainment for everyone.
It's clear that Mayo Glamping is exceptionally well-cared for. Everything, from the accommodations to the communal areas, is thoughtfully maintained, contributing to a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. We also learned that the owners have some great new ideas for future additions, which is exciting – it's clear this place is constantly evolving and changing to make guests more and more attracted to return.
We created some wonderful family memories here and will definitely be back for another escape to this...
Read moreAmazing place!! Arrived, and our hut had key in door; hassle free, self check-in. Explored the grounds, and discovered a Game of Throwns theme toilet. Very cool. Booked the hottub for an hour, it was fabulous. 40°C hot, outdoors. Found a little bucket shower which was amusing. Fab clean changing rooms, with showers. Bar & fire pit. Then went for something to eat, we brought our own fresh pizza from dunnes. There was a wood fired pizza oven to cook them. A BBQ onsite, little stove for heat. Seats around 20 people. Full self catering kitchen. Cinema/theatre room for movies in common area. Personal cinema in our hut (projector). Few fire pits all around, cute fairy house garden. Magical for a couple, with kids to entertain. We had no kids, but relaxed in hot tub, made our pizzas and had a beer. Highly recommend for a getaway! Host's were fantastic, ensured hot tub was warm enough. Kept fire topped-up in pizza oven. Such nice couple. Great value. Parking. Clean. They've thought of everything!! Fabulous spot for a hen/stag, I would say,...
Read moreSpent a lovely long weekend there at Easter with our family , 14 people in total. We had a fantastic time there and Stephen and his dad went out of their way to make us feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home . The weather was also brilliant so that added to our enjoyment. The site was safe and child friendly although it could do with more kids games and activities which Stephen tells us that it is planned for the future. The rooms were very clean and fresh with heating if required. The TV room has WiFi , a games table and a large screen where you can watch films , video's and music cast from your phone or tablet. There are plenty of toilets and shower facilities and the hot tub is a must to try. It is still a work in progress with more Huts and a shop being built. So well done to Stephen who took a great leap of faith to even have thought of this never mind having the courage and skills to get this adventure up and running. Thanks for a lovely...
