We stayed for 2 nights at Mill Road Farm B&B in the "Saltees" guest room, the sea view was excellent we enjoyed watching the cows coming in to be milked. Philomena cooked us very filling breakfasts on both mornings. There was lots of useful information in the room on places to visit in the local area. The garden was beautiful we sat outside in the evening & enjoyed a glass of wine whilst admiring the flowers & stroking the dogs. ||||The lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room was the only slight let down. Also the fan in the bathroom stayed on for about 10 minutes even if you just turned the light on for 10 seconds in the night so that was a little annoying, my husband was oblivious! There was no clock or radio in the room & we weren't offered a visitors book to sign. ||||Overall though we were happy enough with our stay & the location being so close to Kilmore...
Read moreWe spent 2 nights in Mill Road Farm B & B, near Kilmore Quay, 16th & 17th of June 2016, stayed in room nr. 2 - named "Tuskar", En-Suite bedroom which had good facilities as promised. It was part of our plan to stay here as our home base while touring Kilmore Quay & Hook Peninsula. We again visited Silver Fox Restaurant, Kilmore Quay & Mary Barry's Restaurant Bar in Kilmore. We droved also around Hook Peninsula. The room we got was on the back of the house and was very comfortable, very quiet with a good view of the sea. The WC & shower was spacious with well functioning warm shower. TV & hair dryer was available in the room. The fry-up breakfast served in the morning was very good with delicious home-baking. Tea & coffee facilities was available just outside our room. It was relaxing & refreshing to sit in the beautiful garden after a day of driving & sightseeing. This B & B is highly...
