Myself and Deirbhile knew from the moment we visited Tinakilly Country House that it was the perfect wedding venue for us. We got married in Tinakilly on the 26th of July this year – and it was truly the most magic experience and everything we ever dreamed of. We were so lucky to deal with an incredible group of people during our wedding planning and on the day itself – there are too many amazing staff members to mention – but Roisin, Emma, AB, Chloe, Marian, Derek, Tony and all of the team were a pleasure to deal with and they really went to every length possible for us to ensure that we had the most special day. The grounds and venue itself are absolutely stunning – we had an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens, and it was just a dream from start to finish. The pavilion is an unbelievable setting for the evening meal and dancing – and we had our first dance in the woods outside with sparklers and music piped down – it was just unbelievable. The food throughout the day was incredible – from the welcome canapes through to the midnight snacks everything was prepared exactly as it should have been. We have had so many of our guests comment on how delicious the food was, particularly the beef and chicken and chorizo starter which got rave reviews. I would highly recommend Tinakilly as a wedding venue to any couples trying to decide – at Tinakilly you are made to feel like you’re the only wedding happening that year. They take such good care of you and it really does feel like a personal and homely way to celebrate a wedding in a stunning country house setting. The team also go out of their way to accommodate your specific day – whether it be special requests for the residents bar or help with the biggest pick n mix selection known to man! Myself and Derv are so thankful to everyone at Tinakilly for all their help and support in making it the best day of our lives.

We got married in May at Tinakilly and couldn't recommend it more as a wedding venue. Firstly, the place is absolutely gorgeous! We fell in love with the vintage charm of the house and gardens. We were keen to have each part of our day in a different area of our venue which Tinakilly was ideal for. We got married in May and were able to have our dream of an outdoor ceremony come true, it was breathtaking. Our drinks reception was between the house and gardens, with some of the indoor furniture brought outside which brought a really gorgeous flow to that part of the day. Then we had THE most gorgeous meal followed by dancing in the Pavillion. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better day! We also had our Day 2 in the house and it was fantastic with plenty of food and drinks for our guests. From the first day we stepped foot in Tinakilly, to the middle organisation bit to our wedding day, we were welcomed and so taken care of by the fantastic staff. Thanks to Emma, Roisin, Chloe, Norma, AB and Marion for being so brilliant. Special shoutout to AB who was our guiding light on the day, making sure we were hydrated and popping in to say when it was best to chat to our guests during the meal, along with many other helpful moments! Those things are so appreciated when you're in the flow of enjoying the day. If you have the pleasure of dealing with AB for your big day, count your lucky stars and take it from us that you can trust everything he says. The man is a pro! We had the most brilliant time, thank you all ♥️

Wonderful rustic, historic country estate that is a living reminder of times gone by. We attended the venue for a wedding. It's a classy, refined, venue steeped in old world style, really appealed to us. The decor is Victorian, and there are portraits across the home, adding to the ambiance. Superb location for a wedding. The foyer areas are lovely for a reception. The bar and dining area are actually removed from the old building. The meal we were served was superb. Cuts of meat and salmon were sumptuous. Starters and desserts were perfect as well. Pint of Guinness wasn't half bad either. Breakfast was a hearty affair the next day as well. Staff were absolutely lovely as well, they were professional, friendly and engaging. Big shout out to them, staff can really make a lovely location even more endearing. Highly recommend this place for weddings, occasions or even just a visit for a weekend.

Only a review of management and booking.

Received a 200 Euro voucher as a gift in March. Used their website to book a stay in April.

Four days before we were due to go I received an email stating that they would be closed on the second night of our stay and had left a voicemail informing me of the same. I had to contact them multiple times to state that if we couldn't have both nights we would not be staying. This took numerous calls and emails to get this point across.

Looking at previous reviews they appear to be using this practice alot by cancelling regular guests in favour of wedding bookings. I did not know this at the time though.

My partner then attempted to book during October to be informed that they didn't have any weekends free until next year. They also attempted to state that the voucher was only for weekdays at which point I had to intervene and stated that it was for value only without restrictions. After numerous calls just to get to this point and staff not calling us back as we requested. Finally a male manager said that he would happily refund the value of the voucher and I gave him all of my details. He said the monies would be refunded on Monday but would call if there were any issues.

By Wednesday midday still no refund in my account. I sent a long email with all of the facts and what I was told and requested someone to call me back ASAP with an update.

Friday afternoon I received a call informing me that the refund had been processed and should be in my account this afternoon. I asked that I had been told that this would happen on Monday. The lady apologised and stated that she wasn't aware of that at which point I informed her that it was also stated in my email.

Summary

This is the most disappointing interaction that I have ever had with a hotel booking.

The only way to summarise this is to say the following.

If you have booked a room not part of a wedding don't be surprised if it's cancelled at short notice because as a single ordinary customer you do not...

As a wedding magician and mentalist who has performed at Tinakilly House multiple times over the years, I can say without hesitation that it is one of the most enchanting wedding venues around. Located just 45 minutes from Dublin, this stunning venue radiates charm, sophistication, and tranquility from the moment you arrive.

The beautifully landscaped grounds and exquisitely decorated rooms provide the perfect backdrop for a romantic and unforgettable country house wedding. But what truly sets Tinakilly House apart is their exceptional staff. They are professional, courteous, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that every detail of your wedding is perfect.

As an entertainer, I've seen how well-run every wedding at Tinakilly House was. The staff is always on top of everything, from organizing the seating arrangements to accommodating special requests. They do all of this with a smile, making every couple and their guests feel welcome and cared for.

And let's not forget about the food! The chefs at Tinakilly House use only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create menus that are nothing short of amazing. They can cater to any dietary requirements, and their dishes are sure to delight even the most discerning of palates.

All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend Tinakilly House as a wedding venue. It's a magical place that will make your special day unforgettable. With an amazing staff, stunning location, and outstanding hospitality, it's the perfect choice for couples who want a wedding that's both enchanting and unforgettable. I can't wait to perform...
