My sister and I checked into the hotel on August 14 after a long flight from the US and were supposed to check out on the 16th. I checked in with service animals. Late August 15 (early morning on the 16th) after returning from an event, I was told by the front desk that we have to leave immediately in the middle of the night because the dog was barking. I explained we have no local Israeli number, no local currency and being that it’s the middle of the night in August we have no where to go. I explained we would leave early in the morning but it’s unreasonable to force us out of The hotel in the middle of the night. These issues fell on deaf ears and the CEO demanded we leave the property immediately. The security guard aggressively knocked on the door as we were organizing our stuff and demanded that we let him in the room to start removing our belongings. The front desk attempted to help us find a solution but all rooms in the area were sold out. We decided we would have better luck finding a place in Tel Aviv, that wasn’t the case. Again all hotels were either booked or they didn’t have someone at the front desk to create a new reservation. After 4.5 hours of stress and 700 shekels later we finally found a hotel with availability. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves. This is no way to treat guests, especially women who do not have a local working phone or local currency in a country that’s always on high alert. Finally, the hotel is dingy, dirty and doesn’t not reflect the outrageous rate they...
Read moreA huge disappointment, mainly due to the poor service at the reception and the very low maintenance level of the hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by a receptionist named Valery. She argued with us for over half an hour, insisting that we had to pay VAT because we booked through an external site, even though I showed her that our booking confirmation clearly stated VAT was already included. She was completely unwilling to listen.
Only after the conversation escalated and I presented the actual credit card charge (which didn’t match their system), she finally realized her mistake. Instead of apologizing, she threw the room keys towards us without a word of explanation – no “sorry,” no basic information about where the room was, where breakfast is served, or any other guidance that a guest should naturally receive. A representative whose ego is more important than customer experience should not be in such a key position at the front desk. That’s how our stay began – extremely disappointing.
On top of that, the room maintenance was in very poor condition (see attached photos). Very unfortunate, because the hotel is in a good location and has great potential. But with service and maintenance like this, I will definitely not return and cannot recommend this...
Read moreOverview: Large hotel close to the beach with weekend crowd.
Pros: Inexpensive for a hotel chain, the staff was friendly and quick to respond to needs. The welcome basket of chocolates, wine and fruit we received in our room on arrival was a nice gesture- the chocolates were delicious. The woman who runs the spa desk was very nice and accommodating. If you are they for a spa treatment, I advise having reflexology and a facial with the masseuse from Argentina- she is wonderful!
Cons: The hotel needs a face-lift. We stayed in a Junior Suite, it was important for us to have two separate rooms. The room was dated and the bathroom was VERY small. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable to sleep on for more than one night. Breakfast has a wide but disappointing selection with no labels or fat % on the cheeses. The only remotely healthy option was the salad bar as the muesli bar lacked fresh fruit and low-sugar options. Most of the hot options, other than eggs/omelet bar are wheat-based and...
