It is safe to say I have never had a worse experience IN MY LIFE than I did at the Resort Hadera by Jacob Hotels.
From being attacked, having workers enter our room with no knock and a ‘do not disturb’ sign up, to having our keys stop working daily. The thought of this hotel makes me sick.
A side note, I am currently 8 MONTHS PREGNANT (33 weeks) and felt incredibly unsafe as well as stressed the entire stay. Like mentioned before, we were physically attacked within the hotel, on our way back from a wedding. We were entering the hotel lobby( with the bride and groom) when 6 men began beating us, throwing chairs at us, etc. This happened inside the lobby.
I ran to the man working there, begging him to call for help. Not only did he not call the police, he just stared at me.
The morning after; we demanded the head of their security to check the cameras. He did, and confirmed our story yet continued to say there is nothing we can do. The stress from this attack actually brought on contractions and left the bride in a panic attack.
You would think the hotel would do anything in its power to help, or to at least make us feel more comfortable, but no. We didn’t know it was possible but it kept getting worse.
I am in AWE at everything that has happened. All we want to do is to leave but there is no where else for my family and I to stay and no option of getting our money back for this booking. Overall, this hotel is unsafe (no safely locks on the doors, hence why people were able to get into our rooms), has the worst customer service, a very dirty dining room, etc. i seriously could go on for pages but I feel like it’s best I stop here.
I hope this helps future guests rethink about booking this location, especially for a family event or stay. It...
Read moreWe stayed at Jacob Resort Hadera during the second week of August 2025 for three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Strengths: The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, stylish, and tastefully decorated. Despite being a busy season, we never felt any crowding either in the dining area or at the pools.
Although the outdoor pool was closed, the hotel did an excellent job of notifying us well in advance, sending about six or seven reminders over a month and a half before our stay. The indoor pool, which was open until 10 p.m., was more than sufficient and very enjoyable.
A true highlight was the effort the hotel made for children. Even though there is no official kids’ club, the staff went out of their way to provide activities throughout the day, which was very noticeable and greatly appreciated.
The location is also a big plus. It is just a short distance from entertainment spots like the Village Mall Hahof. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide range of activities for children both nearby and in the city.
Weaknesses: The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, but the maintenance could be improved, particularly in the bathroom area. Breakfast offered a fairly wide selection, but unfortunately much of the food felt dry. We also experienced repeated issues with the room and pool access cards, which often stopped working and needed to be reset.
Overall: This was an excellent experience, especially for those looking to avoid the crowded hotels of Eilat during the peak of August. The atmosphere was calm, the facilities pleasant, and the staff showed real commitment to ensuring...
Read morethis is a hotel we like and have been there a few times already. the reason we like is the adjacent beach and pool (both are actually out of the hotel's responsibility but accessible to hotel guests. the beach is perfect and never too crowded. there's a single restaurant at the beach but it's very good. the pool is amazing, very big, shadowed, spacious. so far the good stuff that brought us back. there is no kids activity or playground. pool is not accessible with stroller, and the way to the pool is overly complicated. the hotel building itself is so-so. you can tell it's been renovated but not well maintained. the rooms are fine, some imperfections all around, maybe even moldy or broken spots. but for us nothing deal breaking. the view from most rooms is extraordinary and the balcony is nice. shower gets stinky due to lack of ventilation. the corridor on our flow had horrible smell of (i think) vomit. it stayed the same throughout our stay. we asked the cleaning crew to take care of it which they did not. one time i asked the receptionist for some soap and waited 30 minutes for it (while nagging about it every 5 min). the AC in the room turns back on every time you shut the balcony door which is annoying. the AC is directed straight at the bed and is very strong eventually on the lowest fan speed. the food is fine. breakfast is better than dinner but both are mediocre for me. israeli standard is high when it comes to variety especially at breakfast which the hotel kept, but the quality was just mediocre. overall it's a decent hotel with good adjacent amenities and...
