Sweetn Karem — Hotel in Jerusalem

Not recommended at all!

We were there for breakfast and ordered 4 meals (one toast and 3 omlet breakfasts), 2 of them came in about 20 minutes, the 2 others were wrong (they brought sandwiches instead of omlet breakfast meal). When we complained few times (and after waiting for 30 minutes) we were told the food is on it's way, after 15 more minutes one meal came out, and every 5 minutes we were told the last one should be out any minute. (The guy that seems to be the owner and the main waiter said "don't worry, no one will be hungry"). After more than an hour one of the waiters apologized and said they forgot to type the order, so we had it ordered again. The after 15 minutes they meal came with the wrong omlet. Then again we waited and after 15 minutes we gave up and asked for the check. 5 minutes later the right order came, and they said they didn't charged for it, but said that if we want we can pay out of our good will. Unfortunately the omlet was undercooked, raw and inedible. So one of us did ended up being hungry.

So the food is average at its best. And the service...

Very pleasant atmosphere, a village like place just few 2-3 miles away from the center of Jerusalem.

The place feels magical, It’s a restaurant, small chocolate factory and a hostel that offers very cosy and beautiful rooms and nice service, with amazing view.

Please note, the place is Kosher so no service on Saturdays. They serve Saturday’s breakfast the night before so you can eat on Saturday morning. But the hostel remains open and you can leave and enter freely at all times.

אמא שלי היתה יותר מעשרים שנה הגננת של גן המעיין .אז למעשה היא גידלה את כל הטיפוסים שהיום מחזיקים פה עסקים ועכשיו שהיא בפנסיה כיף לשבת איתה כאן לקפה .לכן כשאני מספרת לכם על עופר ועל עין כרם המתוקה אני יודעת ברמה של אמאשלי היתה גננת של הילדים שלו. עופר וסימה שהיגרו לעין כרם מהשפלה לפני יותר מעשרים שנה פתחו כאן מפעל ביתי מופלא שייצר שוקולדים בטעם ובצורות שלא נראו לפני זה בארץ .החומרים שהם משתמשים הם טבעיים והאריזה עושה חשק לתת למישהו מתנה .אני יודעת כי כל פעם שהינו צרכים להרשים מישהו בעבודה הבאתי מכאן חבילות שי שקצרו המון מחמאות . חלפו להם השנים הילדים שלהם כבר די גדולים. סימה פרשה מעופר והיגרה לקולרדו אבל הוא המשיך בשלו. הוא כבר סוג של אימפריה ויש לו יותר ממקום אחד אבל המקום הקטן הזה היה ונשאר הבייבי שלו . שוקולד מעולה גלידה טובה וקפה מצויין והכל בחוץ מתחת לעץ תות זכר שנותן צל אבל לא זורק עליך כלום. כיף לשבת פה עם קפוצינו ובון בון ומידי פעם להכנס לשיחה עם שלל הטיפוסים שעוברים...
