I recently stopped for a quick lunch at Ristorante Tenz with business associates. I had driven past this restaurant numerous times in the past and simply ignored it, thinking it was only for hotel guests. I am writing a restaurant review only, as Tenz is listed only as a hotel and not a restaurant in TripAdvisor.||||We were warmly greeted and seated in one of the nicely decorated dining rooms. Small tables were also situated in the bar/entrance area for a lighter lunch menu. Most tables were occupied for lunch and the dining room was noisy and animated. The decor was tastefully decorated in a Stube motif and tables were draped with tablecloths and topped with average quality service ware (dishes, utensils and glassware.) A breadbasket containing a nice selection of regional dark and seeded breads was delivered as our waiter presented multi-language menus.||||The wait staff was top-notch, providing efficient and attentive service throughout the meal. Our waiter answered all of our questions regarding menu items and made some recommendations as well. The menu listed an interest blend of meat and seafood antipasti (starters), primi (pasta course) and entrees. I thought it unusual to find seafood on the menu in the mountain region.||||I started my meal with a mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses that were actually served on a wooded cutting board. There was prosciutto, boiled ham, speck, salami, two types of cheese, a pickle and a dollop of butter. Another at our tables ordered the octopus salad which he enjoyed.||||I followed this with a pasta course of Pappardelle (flat noodles) tossed in a cervo (venison) and Porcini mushroom cream tomato ragu. The portion was generous and the flavors pleasing, though I wasn't anticipating the cream in the sauce which made it a very filling pasta dish. Another at our table ordered the Baccala and potato entree, which on a scale of 1 to 10, he rated at level 4 as the baccala had very little flavor. ||||Prices seemed reasonable and there were other items on the menu that would entice a return visit to Ristorante Tenz. I felt truly welcomed here, as the entire staff was friendly. One note: we sat in a corner window seat and as the early afternoon sun was setting, it became very warm and blinding. I would recommend avoiding this table in the mid to...
