MiaClara Relais — Hotel in Alba

We stayed at Miaclara for two nights as part of our visit to the Lange region. Miaclara is a small hotel set in the middle of the vineyards of the Rinaldi family. The place is amazing; way exceeded our expectations. The setting is breathtaking; with views of the vineyards and countryside everywhere you look. Our room was lovely. It was big, comfortable, and with a sleek yet classy feel.Only criticism is that the room could have used more light at night. The bathroom was spectacular. Yet the best part of this hotel is the people. The owner, Paolo and Monica, are super friendly, very genuine, and eager to share their stories as well as learn from yours. They recommended visits and restaurants that were all great choices. Their vineyards are beautiful, with great wines and enjoyable wine tastings. There is no restaurant, but a delicious breakfast is beautifully setup every morning. Having a car is a must and there is parking right there. Special mention to Ombretta, who was hard working as well as very helpful and courteous. We will definitely come back...

This winery and bed & breakfast is lovely, relaxing, and cozy. It is well-designed, has delicious fresh breakfast included every morning, and run by sweet, personable people. We absolutely loved the dinner and wine tasting. The owner makes delicious, good quality wines (barolo, barbaresco, barbera, etc.). Everything is well thought out and beautifully built.

The location is a 10 minute drive away from the Alba train station, up a hill (which means it does have beautiful views of the rolling hills). Everyone drove cars here. We didn't have a car so had to take a taxi from the train station, which was extremely expensive (40-50 euro one way) for 10 minutes. I recommend renting a car otherwise you won't be able to get to other areas without a ride. The restaurant at the B&B isn't open for dinner every night.

Our family stayed 3 nights at Miaclara Relais in July and wish we could have stayed longer and would love to go back. ||||We stayed in the detached cottage and it was perfect for us and our one year old daughter. ||||Some highlights of our trip:||||- Staff is amazing, they make you feel like family and showered our baby with love. We'd go back just to hang around them again. ||- Breakfast is great, they will also make special requests. Take advantage. ||- Wine tasting was very nice and Ombretta is terrific. I would not miss this (we took the baby with - the tour is on site and easy to do)||- Room is super comfortable and the semi separate room for the baby to sleep was great.
