La Vecchiaccia — Hotel in Altopascio

The hotel is about 2-3 miles from Altopascia.||It was fine but not quite as grand as it looks on the website. The entrance shown on the website is round the back - when you arrive at the hotel the front doesnt look very inspiring.||I had emailed several times and requested single beds but on arrival both rooms were made up as doubles and we had to push to have them changed.We had to wait 30 mins which was annoying as we were tired after a long walk on the Via Francigena.||||The rooms and ensuites are Ok - clean but nothing special. Breakfast ok. Quite noisy because near a busy road with railway line behind. || ||* However, after the bed debacle the manageress was extremely helpful and gave us a lift into Altopascia for our evening meal and also the next morning to continue...

We stayed here for two nights in May. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The breakfast room is small but well stocked. There is a choice of 3 cereals, 2 fruit juices, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, jam, honey and Nutella. I asked for English tea with milk and I had a choice of English breakfast tea and Earl Grey.||It is situated next to a railway line but the last train is about 11pm. ||We slept really well here and the staff were so friendly and helpful.||Will...

We've booked this hotel hoping to find the simple pleasures while we were celebrating our first anniversary..and trust us we weren't wrong!||Great hotel! Loved the facility, ambiance and decor. The rooms were spacious. Just everything about the hotel was fantastic! Breakfast buffet was excellent, the staff was very especially helpful with tips and directions and we had a fantastic time on our trip. .It was beyond our expectations||Hope to come back again!!...
