🌊 Beach Review: A Wannabe Paradise Turned Nightmare

If you’re looking for a relaxing day by the sea, this beach is the last place you should consider. Marketed as a rising star among coastal destinations, it turns out to be a complete disaster.

• 🚫 No Facilities: There are no toilets, no bar, no terrace—absolutely nothing to support even the most basic human needs. Upon arrival, we were bluntly told that “nature is your bathroom,” meaning you’re expected to relieve yourself in the nearby forest. Charming, right? • 💨 Unbearable Smell: The only thing that truly fills the air is the stench of sewage. Forget the salty breeze or the scent of sunscreen—this place reeks of neglect and poor infrastructure. • 🏖️ False Advertising: The beach may have sand and water, but that’s where the positives end. It’s a textbook example of how not to run a tourist spot. No shade, no refreshments, no hygiene, no respect for visitors.

⚠️ Verdict: Avoid at all costs. This beach is not just underwhelming—it’s borderline insulting. A fiasco dressed up as a destination. Save your time, your money, and your dignity. There are better places to be—like literally...

The beach is nice - it’s really beautiful with turquoise water, the sand is white and soft and clean. It takes around 10 mins of easy walk from the parking. Alternatively, a tuk tuk service is available but no reason to use it unless you have trouble moving around. This beach gets really crowded though so the best time to visit is early morning or late in the evening. Parking is likely also problematic in the peak hours. The swimming area is pretty wide but the large part of is it really shallow. There were also a bunch of seagulls which was not so nice. Water was on the colder side at the end of August. Overall I can recommend this one, it’s one of those more popular ones due to the easier access and not an exceptional gem but it’s still good...

🌊 Spiaggia del Principe – Opinione onesta dopo 2 volte

È la quarta volta che vado in Sardegna e la seconda che torno alla spiaggia del Principe. Una spiaggia famosissima e super sponsorizzata… ma la verità è che non vale tutta questa fama, soprattutto se conosci bene la Sardegna.

Negli ultimi anni molte spiagge libere sono diventate a pagamento. È vero: da una parte può sembrare sbagliato, ma con il turismo esagerato che arriva ogni estate, se non si regolamenta si finisce nel caos. La spiaggia del Principe è proprio un esempio di questo: ombrelloni attaccati uno sull’altro, spiaggia affollatissima e nessuna gestione reale.

L’accesso è gratuito, ma il vero business è il parcheggio a 3,50€/h. E visto che nessuno ci sta solo un’ora, alla fine paghi 10–12€ tranquillamente, come se fosse una spiaggia attrezzata. Ma di attrezzato non ha niente.

⚠️ ATTENZIONE: SERVIZI INESISTENTI

🚫 Il “bar” è solo una camionetta che vende un po’ di tutto (snack, bottiglie, panini). 🚫 Non esiste un bagno pubblico: o vai a pisciare nei cespugli o ti arrangi nel mare. 🚫 Nessuna doccia. Dopo una giornata di mare, con il sale addosso, non hai modo di lavarti. L’ho vissuto in prima persona l’ultimo giorno di vacanza, senza più l’hotel: avevo bisogno di sciacquarmi prima del viaggio, ma non c’è nessuna soluzione, neanche a pagamento.

🥾 Accesso:

Per arrivarci, servono 15 minuti a piedi su un sentiero di pietre. Personalmente lo trovo anche piacevole, immerso nel verde, ma per famiglie con bambini piccoli o passeggini è assolutamente sconsigliato: il percorso non è semplice e non c'è alcuna infrastruttura di supporto.

🔚 Conclusione:

Vale la pena vederla una volta, per curiosità. Ma se avete pochi giorni e cercate il mare vero della Sardegna, questa spiaggia non è il posto giusto.

Ci sono calette 10.000 volte migliori, con mare più bello, meno affollate, e spesso anche meglio organizzate.
