Camping Sciopadroxiu — Hotel in Arbus

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was looking to spend a week at Spiaggia di Picsinas, Camping Sciopadroxiu is the closest to the beach. Over a one week or longer period I wrote and called several times. It took days for someone to email me and when they did their answer was incomplete. This meant that I had to try to call. Most of the time they do not answer the phones and there is no way to book online. When they realised that I was booking as one person they started avoiding me even more. This I assume is because they charge by person and not by the room. 2 people staying in the room would have meant twice the revenue!

This is the last email I was forced to write to their 1 and only employee (it seems)......

"You told me days ago that you have accommodations for one or 2 people available, you even gave me 2 dates, one in July and one in August. Since then I've been trying to contact you by phone, email and text to make a reservation and you have been avoiding me. NOW you tell me you’re booked! Unacceptable! I will not be staying in Italy at all now. There are plenty of nice places in Europe for me to visit so I will not spend my money in Italy now, you should think about how you treat people, this is extremely bad...

On the South-West coast of Sardinia, not far from Arbus, lies the camping Sciopadroxiu, nicely hidden just beyond the incredible dunes of maybe the most beautiful beach in Europe : Piscinas (not to be confused with a small village by the same name). In addition to traditional campsizes, Sciopadroxiu offers several two room - bungalows with WC, shower, and air conditioning in the room. Superb breakfast included. A remarkably kind, friendly, and elegant Mrs. Franca runs the place. The camping is only a few km from the beach (a long walk in the summer heat though !) and offers a good restaurant with a superb view at sunset. Nearest stores are 20' away driving north on a dirt road, or in Arbus. You'll have a small restaurant and bar runby the same family on the beach (left side) with offers an incredible sunset.|Even in the high peak season, you'll find the beach empty if you walk southbound when arriving in the beach parking place (itwill cost you 5€ per day).
