We discovered this gem by browsing to the websites of all the hotels in Asti and we were glad we did so. The hotel is located just outside of Asti in a beautifully renovated villa. The hotel amenities are very modern and also the rooms are well equiped: clean bathroom, tv, free wifi, comfortable bed (!), air conditioning, minibar, ... We found it very pleasant to stay in our room after dinner.||||Most of the time we chose to have dinner at the hotel because the hotel restaurant turned out to be serving splendid local dishes: one even had the choice between pizzas and normal italian food. We were glad we could eat here and be sure of the quality of our food and not needing to look every night for a restaurant. Although in Piedmont you do not encounter many tourist trap restaurants, we found this very easy. We stayed there one week and found every night something else on the menu card. (Actually all dishes are very good.) This also had the benefit that we could finish the bottle of wine we opened in the restaurant in our room while watching tv or checking our mail. Their wine list is also very good (and not very pricy), in my opinion.||||The breakfast is Italian style (cookies), but they did their effort to offer a broader selection: cereals and fresh croissants. Being Belgian, we usually take a more extended type of breakfast, but we were prepared to having an Italian breakfast and did not find it disturbing. We surely never started the day with hunger.||||The only down side is maybe that it is just too far from the city centre to walk. If it were closer, we would probably had dinner some night in the city. But maybe the quality of our dinner would then have been worse, so we are not complaining. :)||||We took this location as basis to discover Piedmont (and Genova) because its strategic location near the highway. This turned out a very good choice. All destinations were within a fair...
Read moreThis small hotel is very odd but fine for a stopover en route to France/Italy. It is set in the countryside so very quiet and parking in grounds. Good welcome with a cup of tea on arrival. The room No 2) is a good size with desk, tv, small fridge. There are bedside tables and good lighting. Bed comfortable. Bathroom nicely tiled with walk in shower. Spotlessly clean.||||Food in the restaurant was average but they make pizzas which might be wise to keep to. Very popular with locals and families.. Outside terrace with very odd...
