A Dream Wedding Venue in Tuscany We celebrated our wedding at La Villa Medicea di Lilliano on the 22nd of August, 2024, and it was nothing short of a dream come true. Nestled in the picturesque hills of Tuscany, this historic villa provided the perfect backdrop for the most important day of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty and elegance of the villa. The lush gardens, the stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, and the timeless charm of the historic architecture all contributed to an atmosphere that was both magical and intimate. My wife Sinead is Florentine and her family is Italian, so we had looked at a range of villas around Florence. Each villa we spoke to made us feel like we would be lucky to have our wedding there, but La Villa Medicea di Lilliano made us feel like they were lucky to have us! Fortunately, our guests were equally captivated, and we received countless compliments on the choice of venue. However, what truly made our day extraordinary was the incredible team at La Villa Medicea di Lilliano. Our wedding planner supplied by the villa, Chiara, was an absolute godsend. From the very first meeting, she understood our vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to life. Her attention to detail, creativity, and genuine passion for her work ensured that every aspect of our wedding was flawless. Chiara was always there to offer guidance, support, and solutions, making the entire planning process a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Chiara also managed all of our vendors fantastically: Delizia (Catering), Lilla (Flowers), Mariano Hotto (Photography), Wedding Music & Lights (for DJ and Lighting). Chiara's team, Leonardo and Paola, were also exceptional. Together, they formed a dream team that worked seamlessly to create a day that exceeded our wildest expectations. We also cannot say enough about the rest of the staff at La Villa Medicea di Lilliano. Lorenzo and the entire villa team were professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding perfect. From the impeccable service to the extremely comfortable overnight accommodation for our travelling family and friends, everything was executed with the utmost care and precision. Some of the groomsmen and family even turned getting ready into a pool party! Our wedding day was truly perfect, and we owe so much of that to the incredible team at La Villa Medicea di Lilliano. They made our dreams come true, and we will be forever grateful for their hard work, dedication, and passion. If you are considering a wedding in Tuscany, look no further—La Villa Medicea di Lilliano and its exceptional team will make your day as unforgettable as ours. Thank you, Chiara and everyone at the villa, for making our wedding the most magical day of our lives. We will cherish the memories forever.

When my husband and I were searching for a wedding venue for our destination wedding, it was important for us to find somewhere that had a blend of Tuscan beauty, Italian history, communal spaces so that we could bring just under 100 of our closest family and friends together, and proximity to Florence. Villa Medicea di Lilliano has all of that! From the moment we first looked at the property, we were taken by all the beautiful different spaces that the property had from the Terrace where we had our Welcome Party and Ceremony, to the Garden where we did our Aperitivo and Dinner, and the Limonaia Banquet Hall where we had our dancing. Each space was more amazing than the next for both us and our guests. They are all picturesque, making our photos and videos from the wedding stunning! Villa Medicea also offers the ability for a large number of guests to stay on site in their La Corte and La Torre Villas! We were able to host 31 of our family on site with us for the whole weekend. Each of the Villas was beautifully charming and had all the amenities you would need for a weekend stay! (Plus more amazing, picturesque views!) A breakfast spread is included and is the perfect way to start your mornings on the property. The staff for Villa Medicea is friendly and helpful and really focused on making sure your stay on the property and use of the spaces for your events exceeds your expectations. A special thank you to Holly, Camilla, Ilaria, Matteo and Lorenzo who were all available for anything we needed during our wedding weekend… we really appreciated it! We also have to mention how great the wine and olive oil are. Throughout the year planning and the wedding weekend, we have enjoyed many of the different types of Melanchini wine and olive oils. Each of them is great in their own ways! Our wedding guests were very happy with the wine at the wedding and really enjoyed each glass! We cannot wait to continue to drink the wine and bring ourselves back to our amazing wedding weekend at Villa Medicea di Lilliano! If you are considering a wedding or even just a stay at Villa Medicea, we highly recommend it as it is a true gem of Tuscany!

A Fairytale Wedding at Villa Medicea di Lilliano – October 2025 (73 guests) We had the most magical, fairytale wedding we could have ever dreamed of at Villa Medicea di Lilliano. Everything about our stay was absolute perfection. Villa Corte and Villa Torre were ideal for our 73 guests—spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed to create a fun, social atmosphere where everyone could gather and relax together. The location was perfect as well—only 20 minutes from the Florence city center, making it so convenient for guests staying in the city. Each morning, the breakfast spread was truly over the top, featuring fresh fruit, eggs, pastries, cheeses, and more. The staff were incredibly accommodating, generous, and always eager to help. They went above and beyond, staying available via WhatsApp to answer any questions or arrange rides to and from the villas. They even surprised us by ordering takeout on our last night so we could enjoy a relaxing evening in with everyone after the wedding—such a thoughtful touch that meant so much to us. Their kindness and attentiveness made our entire three-night stay unforgettable. We also hosted an after-wedding event at the winery, which was an absolute highlight. The experience included a wine tasting, a fascinating tour of the cellars, and a delicious lunch featuring the most incredible lasagna and olive-oil tastings. The property itself is breathtaking and offers endless possibilities for creating unique moments throughout your celebration. We held our ceremony on the terrace, cocktail hour in the garden, cake cutting in front of the villa, and dinner and reception inside the Limonia—it was like a dream brought to life. A huge thank-you to Chiara, Lorenzo, Cami, and the entire Villa team for making our wedding weekend more than we could have ever imagined. This place is truly special, with views that take your breath away and hospitality that makes you feel like family. We cannot wait to see our wedding photos and are already counting down the days until we can return for an anniversary celebration someday!

We had the most magical experience at Villa Medicea di Lilliano for our September 2024 wedding and highly recommend the venue and planning services to anyone planning a destination wedding in Tuscany. We reserved the entire property (La Torre Villas and La Corte Villa) for three nights – the first night we hosted a welcome dinner/pizza party on the lawn outside La Torre Villas, our wedding was held on the second night at the Villa, and we had local private chef company – Goodies – cater dinner our final night at La Torre Villas. ||Every single thing about our wedding week exceeded our expectations. Married at Lilliano in August 2023

I just wanted to share my review/feedback of Villa Medicea di Lilliano for couples considering it

The venue has many WOW factors- our guests were super super impressed. I loved it as well because we could do very minimal decor and flowers and it was still breathtaking.

However, there were a few very very annoying things- I guess all a reflection on management and not the actual venue infrastructure.

I’ll review in order of events.

They say they have a dress steamer. I had to ask 5+ times for it AND get our wedding planner to call them multiple times to bring the steamer. When they finally did the steamer was broken and leaking everywhere, they weren’t helpful in fixing it. My mom had to take it apart and clean all the inside tubes to get it to work. We also had to ask even more times to get an ironing board

The mosquitoes are crazy crazy bad at La Torre residences, like we couldn’t sit outside the pool. A bit better at the venue itself but still pretty bad

The golf cart they claim to have to bring the wedding party to and from La Torre and the venue is absolutely not a golf cart. It was a super dirty old car- I was genuinely concerned I would ruin my dress sitting in it.

The aircon in the limonaia (if there even is any) is super weak and it was brutally hot to dance there in the evening of a 37C degree day. (Where you have the dancing part of the wedding)

It was a holiday in Italy the day of our wedding so their usual room service wasn’t available and they were absolutely no help in helping us find other things for lunch.

Overall it’s a 4 star venue with 1 star service/management

THE REAL kicker- all of the rooms at La Torre were robbed of cash (every single room- all of which have seperate key card access) on the night of the wedding. When I brought it up with the venue they were so not helpful saying ‘that is really strange only the bridal suite is cleaned on the wedding night’ my reply ‘well does the staff have access to all of the other rooms on the wedding night’ the reply was yes… ANYWAY we reported this and they went ahead and charged my card for all of the city tax literally that same morning (without my permission). No tact.

Editing my review based on Denise’s comments below:

regarding the steamer it was raised. Your staff watched us struggle with the broken and steamer and told us ‘use the iron instead’- us the iron! On a wedding dress?

regarding the robbery- I did speak to Erica the day it happened. Our wedding planner was upset that it was Erica sent to speak to us and not you the General Manager. There is nothing I could have done different on the day of regarding communication- I spoke to who you sent to speak with me.

the police report after. We did have an email exchange. You said you would keep me updated of the outcome. Which is why I waited 2 months to write a review- I gave plenty of time and you the opportunity to rectify...
