I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Mandorla in Ischia, and it was truly an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. La Mandorla is perfectly situated, offering breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The hotel’s proximity to the beach made it incredibly convenient to enjoy the sun and sea. Additionally, it’s just a short drive from Ischia’s main attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the island. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, reflecting the charm of the Mediterranean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the balcony offered stunning views of the sea and the lush surrounding landscape. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay. The staff at La Mandorla went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Giovanni, Antonio, Marco, Salvatore, and Luciena (apologies for missed names) were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any request. Whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, or ensuring my room was perfectly prepared, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Their personalized approach made me feel truly valued and added a special touch to my stay. In fact, I extended my stay because I just didn’t want to leave this wonderful place.
Breakfast was included and featured a delightful variety of fresh pastries, fruits, and other delicious options. It was a perfect start to each day, and dining with a view of the sea made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including two beautiful thermal pools and a relaxing Turkish bath. The grounds are meticulously maintained, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The beach access was a highlight, providing the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. My stay at La Mandorla was exceptional in every way. The combination of stunning location, luxurious accommodations, superb dining, and outstanding service makes this hotel a gem in Ischia. I highly recommend La Mandorla to anyone looking for a perfect getaway on this beautiful island. I will definitely...
Read more10/10! Perfect hotel.
My mom, aunt and I stayed at La Mandorla for our entire stay in Ischia for 10 days. We absolutely loved it. It fully met our needs, which were to be close to the beach (you are literally located less than 2 minutes away by foot and have free beach chairs and umbrellas), have breakfast included, wifi and air conditioning. Plus, we had a beautiful balcony with a view on the pool and lounge area and on the beach.
The breakfast is so delicious and very complete. It quickly became one of our favourite moments of the day. Delicious food, amazing coffee, great service, perfect view. Amazing!
Besides the great amenities, Giovanni, Marco and Antonio were so helpful and quick to help for anything we needed. Salvatore and the lady whom unfortunately we did not catch the name of were also extremely pleasant, always greeting us with a smile and a fantastic mood, plus impeccable service. They always remembered our coffee order. The attention to detail in this hotel is immaculate. Also, the cleanliness is pristine. Everything is so well-kept! Rooms are redone daily and they always look brand new and smell so fresh. There is also a bar that has anything you might need.
Just one note however, for the area in general: keep in mind that Maronti beach is an absolutely breathtaking beach area, but it is somewhat secluded from shops and restaurants that have a more varied menu than seafood. For example, if you want a gelato shop, you have to take a bus (I recommend Trani in Ischia Ponte, for which you can take the bus number 5). So if you are looking for a very busy nightlife, this area may not be for you. If you want to relax and disconnect and sleep soundly, this will be PARADISE. Also, it is very family friendly.
Lastly, I love going for runs and exercising, and I must say I missed this during my stay. Please note that this is not a runner-friendly area and there is no gym, so you have to go out of your way for that or just skip some days. I also was here in July, the hottest month, so maybe in September or during cooler months I would feel differently as there are many trekking options and hikes to do on the island around Maronti. Read moreI have been staying in La Mandorla for over 40 years. Starting when I was a child and I am now in my 50s. The hotel is simply exceptional. It is one of the best run, friendliest and enjoyable hotels I have ever stayed in and that is why I keep on returning. It is very beautiful, with a large garden filled with flowers and lemon trees. They have a large terrace for sunbathing, with two certified hot baths and sauna. The owners whom I have know most of my life, who also run the hotel, are exceptional. They are incredibly professional, super friendly, multilingual and have utmost integrity. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are also extremely well connected on the island and can arrange anything for you and solve any problem you may have. The air-conditioned rooms are super clean, comfortable and large with most having a beautiful sea view with balcony. The breakfast is fantastic, with a wide choice of food, both hot and cold. The private beach of the hotel, which is only a few meters away, is accessed by a small private walkway. The beach is simply beautiful, and the location is the best in all of Maronti. Near the hotel are some of the best restaurants Ischia has to offer, serving fresh fish and exquisite pasta dishes all prepared while you wait. The hotel is one of the most accessible on the island, direct transport from the ferry either via bus or taxi, dropped right in front of the hotel entrance. Marco, Giovanni and Antonio are the nicest people you will ever meet and they love what they do and ensure all guests have the perfect stay at their hotel. They take a real interest in their guests and are very sociable and kind. There is a bar right by the reception which they run and where you can relax on the large terrace overlooking the sea with beautiful unobstructed views of Sant Angelo to the one side and Capri to the other. Ischia is one of my most favorite holiday destinations and I visit every year, regardless of where in the world I am staying. I usually fly about 11 hours to get there, but I will always return to La Mandorla as it offers peace, tranquility and an authentically Italian summer vacation, with good food and...
