From the first sighting of this magnificent property set amongst Sangiovese vines to the day we said goodbye, we had a great week staying at Romitorio di Serelle. |The hospitality is exceptional and Marco, Lorella and Roberto made us most welcome. Purchased in 1998 as a totally run down property, they have completed a superb restoration and renovation and it now boasts some 12-14 apartments. Breakfast and dinner are available on site should you wish .... but you are also invited to self cater! We enjoyed dinner twice in our week and it represented very good value for money. Wi Fi is available if you insist on keeping in touch with the World. |A wine tasting by local wine personality Pietro was a nice touch and local wines are available to purchase on site, should you run out!|A beautiful swimming pool, comfortable lounge area, private sitting and dining areas for each apartment, and magnificent views of the surrounding landscape make this a true treasure in Tuscany. We were blown away and strongly recommend this property to all ........ and such a good location for day trips to hilltop towns of Chianti, such as San Gimignano and Siena as well as the smaller towns of Castellina in Chianti and Radda in Chianti.|A couple of minor improvements? Maybe a small starter pack of washing up liquid, tea bags, coffee and sugar would be useful. Some board games available in the lounge area would be welcomed. Otherwise .........

Signal is poor so fixing the WiFi issue, would make a massive difference. -The 10am checkout feels a bit early, especially considering check-in is after 4pm; adjusting that window would be better (usually 11-3). -Lastly, while the beds were generally fine, the mattress in our apartment wasn’t as comfortable as we’d hoped.
These are all relatively easy fixes, and with them in place, we would return 100% without hesitation. Thank you...
Read moreStunning location with grandiose rooms contained within the picturesque estate buildings surrounding the shared courtyard. No wifi in the rooms, but there was wifi in the shared spaces. The pool was lovely and refreshingly cool given the hot Tuscan sun. This place is difficult to get to without private transportation (we rented a car, which I HIGHLY suggest since it allows you to freely explore the surrounding countryside that is filled with beautiful and untouched towns stocked with surprisingly upscale restaurants). One bonus of this place was the staff, who in addition to being friendly were also always quick to offer excellent suggestions for local restaurants and sites. I truly could not recommend this place highly enough and I will be returning in the...
