The hotel staff is ok but not good, the restaurant staff is very nice instead. Hotel has parking all over the hotel, the rooms are indeed as written in other reviews as bad, the hotel and rooms are outdated by 30 years behind. The pool is old and broken in decay and very small. The hotel had many events during the evening and you can see they make profit with events so guessing that's why they don't invest in the rest of the hotel since they are only about making revenue with what they have left. The breakfast cannot be called breakfast. The pig salami was in the same plate as the cheese so as a Muslim and vegetarian I wasn't able to touch the cheese. They don't offer any vegetables or eggs at all or hot food. They only have some mini old pastry on 3 plates, they had 3 bottles of the same cheap non brand corn flakes. Coffee was on request. The coffee was terrible. Juice was only pineapple and apple from a machine, we tasted the juice and it had a strange mouldy look and taste, they probably don't clean the machine so we didn't drink anything. As a vegetarian I ate a dry piece of bread with butter and a mini mini crossiant. Left with empty stomach and had to have breakfast again at another bar in town. The aircon in the room was on high the whole time, called reception to shut it down and they said they did, came back 6 hours later and the aircon was still on high, in the room it was 15 degree celsius which was freezing. Called again and they said they shut it down which was not true. I worked in hotels and know that some hotels do an automatic system where if one room has aircon then the whole floor has the aircon on so I am guessing they are keeping the whole hotel on 15 degrees cold so they make happy the foreigner guests without caring that other guest freeze without any duvet in the room. I will never come back at the hotel to stay but I would love to come at the restaurant as it was the only positive thing. They need to realize they are in 2023 not in...
Read moreHad a late afternoon meeting in Potenza and was heading to Sorrento, so we picked Hotel San Luca as a half way point to spend the night. Very disappointed. Room: Toilet seat was extremely loose and unstable; no glasses in room but very small flimsy plastic cups hidden in minibar - had to ask reception or would not have found them; only one pillow for each person; air-conditioning did not work initially and needed to be reset. Back of the large desk hid access to electrical outlets; had to move the desk to plug in laptop. Breakfast was substandard for a 4 Star Hotel in Italy. ||Restaurant: Tables lined up on each side like bunks in a military barracks; no atmosphere. Food was good but meal did not come with what was listed on the menu; ordered the pork loin with candied apples and broccoli, but got peas instead. Asked why? Answer: "The menu is not frozen; you get what the chef has in the kitchen!" Would not stay here again until...
Read moreI've stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, during a business trip.||The 4 stars are printed or engraved on everything that surrounds you, but it feels more like a 4star motel rather then hotel.||There are no good shops or restaurants within walking distance.||Had dinner at the restaurant one night. Food was ok, but service was extremely slow, from serving food to getting the bill and paying.||Breakfast is extremely basic, not worth waking up for it unless you are absolutely starving.||Apart from this, the staff seems friendly and they do a good job keeping the place tidy and clean.||And I am sure that you can have a better time here during the summer, when you can use the pool also.||Plus considering the area, I guess this is the best you can get...
