A little corner of Heaven! If you're looking for traditional rustic Tuscan charm coupled with an amazing infinity pool, look no further! Our family (two adults and two children aged 8 and 10) couldn't have enjoyed our two week stay at Fattoria Armena any more than we did. Everything about the accommodation and surrounding area exceeded our expectations. Stefania and Alessandro were the perfect hosts; generous and welcoming, they gave us our privacy and space but were very quick to help if needed. Stefania welcomed us like old friends when we arrived and even presented us with a delicious freshly-baked crostata still warm from the oven! Armenia is situated in a truly beautiful spot tucked away at the end of a 2km gravel trackway up in the hills above Buonconvento. It has heaps of rustic charm and could not be more peaceful, with just the sounds of the horses, cicadas and the bee eaters to keep you company as you relax by the infinity pool, which offers incredible views down the valley opposite the property. Our two-bedroom apartment was very well appointed with a well equipped kitchen which made self-catering very straightforward. The beds were comfy and a good number of fans were provided to help cope with the warmth. Located just 15km from the renowned wine center of Montalcino, Fattoria Armena makes an excellent base for exploring the wider Siena Province; Pienza, Montepulciano and Siena are all within an hour's drive. Fattoria Armena was the perfect place to spend our precious summer holiday - we have missed it dearly every day since we left and we WILL be back. Huge thanks to Stefania and Alessandro! Read moreI've stayed in over 50 Airbnb's and this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The place is perfect if you're looking for a quiet place overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. Dinner as the sun was setting was serene and majestic. The place itself is spacious (can fit 5-6 people), clean, check-in was a breeze, and you have views from almost every window.||||The location is perfect. Montalcino is about a 15 minute drive, while Montepulciano is about 40 minutes and Pienza is 30. The Comune of Buonconvento is small but has everything you need - restaurants, a supermarket, and a train station.||||The absolute best part of this stay were the owners: Stefania and her husband Allesandro. They were extremely engaging, full of historical local knowledge, always willing to help with whatever you need, and Stefania is an amazing cook. I highly recommend getting dinner at her place. She'll set you up on the outside table overlooking Tuscany as she serves five amazing courses of homemade Italian food. We washed it down with some of her wine.||||Stefania provided warm hospitality Italy is known for. She treated me as a friend, wanting to ensure my stay was as good as it could be, not simply a guest renting from her.||||The place is amazing and there's no doubt I will...
Read moreWe stayed here in April 2019 and all my Tuscan dreams were fulfilled. We were greeted by the hostess/owner Stefania, a homemade cake on our kitchen table, along with a bottle of their own wine and fresh eggs from their farm! The apartment was so roomy and SO TUSCAN!! The scenery is beyond as you look out onto the rolling hills of Tuscany. The service is some of the best I've ever experienced. Stefania invited us to a homemade dinner two times while we were there (once on Easter with her family!). When I say homemade I mean HOMEMADE. From the pasta noodles, to the ragu, the meat straight from their farm, and HOMEMADE LIMENCELLO!! Stefania is so warm and kind (I have to say this is the first time I now consider a hostess/owner a friend). Her son Guilio is a chef and he is just as warm and kind as his mother. I've dreamed of going to Tuscany for years and I would return here in a heartbeat. ||We were able to take our rental car to all of the nearby villages and the town of Buonconvento is so charming. I will be forever grateful to Stefania for making this such a memorable, beautiful experience. GO!!! You will not be...
