We stayed here five years ago just by chancece in bad weather, but the friendly place compensated for rain and fog all around. This year we sought out this venue again in lovely sunshine and the views from the hotel, which is situated on the Jauffenpass Strasse, were stunning. The room was again very comfortable, local timber furnishing it. The offer was half board, and the meals were tasty, imaginative and well presented. On one of the two nights we stayed, there was a Special Pasta Night, introduced and presented by our host himself; you wouldn't think pasta could be so versatile! ||They offer guided walks, not only in summer, I believe. One of their specialities is the excellent water they draw from their own spring on the property. On the whole the Hotel offers far more than we were able to take advantage of. Highly recommended for anyone who looks for a great stay, great food, warmth and friendliness and lots to do in the magnificent surroundings. The owner Family Augscheller will see to...
Read moreI wish this hotel was not so unique: it would be great to be able to fall back on hotels just like this one. Alas, not so. Jägerhof has a unique location, with superb views and where authenticity rules. Breakfast is just as nice- cfr. the comments of the other contributors. ||These are just a couple of reasons why I keep coming back here time...
Read moreWe visited the Jägerhof Hotel for a Snowshoe-Walking holiday and nothing could have been better. The hotel has a beautiful setting, it's quiet and pretty and walks are possible directly from the accomodation, with or without the hotel's tour guide. All of the tours were splendid and a lot of fun. You can also take the hotel's ski bus and it is very easy to get to the slopes. The Augscheller family are warm and very good hosts. The kitchen for breakfast and dinner is excellent. We felt really taken care of: they offered hot tea and mueslibars to take with us on the cold walks, sometimes there was hot soup and cake when we came back, or cookies, all complimentary, as if we were at home. The "Wellness-Oase" was very relaxing. All in all it was a perfect holiday and our stay in Jägerhof contributed a...
