Already a week back in the Netherlands and we already miss the Tuscany Villa Resort. It were two fantastic weeks with sun, Italian food, wine, and a breathtaking view over the mountains and valleys in front of our apartment. We had apartment 'Donatello' with a cozy stone terrace and less than 25 meters from the pool. The pool was almost a private pool given the small number of apartments in the villa. Our apartment was well-equipped, typically Italian/Tuscan furnished, and spacious enough for two people. Freyja, the hostess and owner of the villa, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She could provide us with many useful and practical tips not only about the sights in the area but also about the local markets, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. A beautiful evening for us to remember was the evening we were invited by Freyja to come and eat pizza with her family and friends. These pizzas were freshly prepared by her son in a huge stone oven at the courtyard of the villa. An evening never to forget. There are plenty of interesting things to do in the surroundings, such as a visit to the birthplace of Michelangelo or the medieval monastery in La Verna where St. Francis of Assisi often stayed. Also, a visit to the old towns of Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Bibbiena, or Poppi is recommended, if possible combined with a market day. A bit further away, cities like Florence, Arezzo, and Rimini are also easily accessible. Even a trip to San Marino is possible (only a 1 hour drive). But for the sake of tranquillity, we also occasionally just enjoyed a day at our apartment. The only sound we heard there was the gentle buzzing of bees in the enormous lavender bushes in front of our terrace. And when the Tuscan sun became too hot, the (saltwater) pool offered delightful refreshment. In short, the Tuscany Villa Resort in Caprese Michelangelo is the ideal place for a wonderful, authentic Italian vacation. A delightful holiday for us to never forget. We will definitely come back here next year! Roy & Esther The Netherlands

Great place to take a Tuscan break. Set in the Tuscan hills with beautiful views. The heated outdoor pool is great for relaxing around or taking a cooling dip when the heat gets too much. The rooms are good sized with all the facilities you need. The owners are on site & are very friendly & helpful. It's a really good base for visiting most of the Tuscan visitor attractions. Siena & Florence are within easy driving distance but there are many smaller towns equally as attractive. The owners have advised us of some great little places. All in all a great place for a Tuscan holiday.

A peaceful paradise set in the most beautiful landscape. Had a very restful holiday including salt water swimming pool and firefly's!

Well I am writing this review whilst sitting in the beautiful Michelangelo suite with the fragrant smell of jasmine coming in from the beautiful garden. As a previous review stated we have waited 2 years for this holiday and then EasyJet cancelled at the last minute, but luckily Ryan air to the rescue and we finally arrived!||Freya is an amazing host, not only is this place stunning with amazing accommodation, pool and views, but she has been in touch all the time with updates, directions and more. On the first evening after travelling we booked dinner which Freya offers and it was delivered to our suite, 3 courses - bruschetta followed by tagliatelle with a beautiful tomato sauce, followed by chocolate mousse, it was delicious and fresh. A beautiful hamper awaited us on the table including a bottle of wine and Prosecco in the fridge.||We had a great time yesterday evening with other guests and some limoncello sitting in the evening warmth in one of the many nooks and crannies.||A car is a must here, but as previously posted Freya will taxi in the evening to a restaurant and tomorrow she is taxing 4 of us to the olive oil mill.||I could carry on writing for hours because we just love this place and our expectations were met...

We have been waiting to get away for two years and wow this was the perfect place . It’s nestled in the mountains with breathtaking views it made me so happy to have a coffee each morning overlooking the pool with the back drop of mountains . We stayed in the Michelangelo which was traditional yet stylish . Extremely clean and felt very spacious . A highlight for me was the beautiful wildlife around and the saltwater pool which was so peaceful . The apartment itself was equipped with everything you need . We made breakfast there but mostly ate out in the amazing restaurants which were authentic and cheap . I would say you definitely need a car as there are so many amazing places to visit in the region . We did however take advantage of the taxi service that the hosts offer a few evenings . Iv just booked to go back next year with another family and...
