Quite honestly when we drove near to the hotel, I was surprised how out of the way it was. It didn’t bother me. It was supposed to be just a way station not an endpoint. It looked good in the pictures on the internet and it got good reviews. Would it deliver in person? It did. It was amodern hotel that seemed to be almost new and in mint condition. And stylish, too. Very stylish. I picked our room for that reason. The Montefuji Suite has this large picture of, you guessed it, Mount Fuji in Japan. It seemed like good room to begin with, but in a whim, I paid a little more for some extra funkiness and verve. I do that once in a while. Live a little. Have a little fun. And it was. After all, it’s probably as close as I will ever get to Japan. It was a spacious, well-appointed room, comfortable, quiet with as they say, a multi-jet shower with chromotherapy ( in essence a personal light show that was a blast ). A special shout out to the bed and bedding which were high quality and a pleasure to spend a night in. In summary, everything worked and worked well. There was a restaurant there that was light and airy, but we did not patronize it for dinner or breakfast. We probably had brought food with us. I did get a chance to visit their kitchen which was modern and hands-down the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen in my life. An establishment that maintains such high standards for things their customers don’t see is unlikely to fall down on the job with things their clientele actually care about, like the food, itself. Next time I will eat there. And the staff, all of them, were as nice and helpful as can be and we needed a lot of help. Considering that it was way out of the way the 159 euros for the room was pretty pricey, but I found it to be a totally delightful experience. So I have no complaints. As a tourist, I can’t imagine most people stopping here, unless there was something within striking distance they wanted to see and there are sites that fit that description or as a way station to break down a longer ride to their ultimate destination. If you are lucky enough to have a good excuse to stay here, I believe you will have a...
Read moreThis is a wonderful, quirky, and romantic hotel. It is somewhat off the beaten path and you need to have a car to get around really. Once you arrive, though, it is a brilliant hotel and worth visiting.||We had a large room which featured a jacuzzi bath. The shower also had the function to spray you from the side, which was very interesting and I hadn't encountered this before! I do feel that the rooms are designed to be romantic and as such I think this is a great stay for a couple.||The receptionist Klodiana was very friendly and helpful. Sadly when we visited their restaurant was not open, but she recommended a number of places nearby - we opted for the closest which was called Lago Dei Salici. I believe this restaurant is in fact owned by the same people who run the Hotel Terre Dei Savoia. The food was phenomenal, although I suppose I should save those thoughts for another review!||Our room was very comfortable (having a circular bed, I was worried that I wouldn't fit/sleep comfortably, but was pleasantly surprised). ||Perhaps an uncommon thing to comment on but I would say that the parking facilities are very good. It seems that almost all guests have the option to park under covered canopies that protect your car from direct sunlight. I thought this was a nice touch.||The breakfast was tasty but a little limited. I would have liked more hot food options. It must be said that the cappuccinos were so good that I may have had one too many... A nice problem!||Although I am inclined to class this as a 'luxury' hotel, the price range is still very affordable and reasonable.||It is unlikely that we'll be in the area again but if it so happens then I'll definitely be staying here again - would...
Read moreOn the last night of our roadtrip, we arrived at this hotel. Deadly tired we arrived but we got a second breath seeing the accomodation. ||Very nice friendly staff at the reception desk, very clean spacy rooms. ||The hotel seemed not nearby any foodlocations so we were more than happy to see they had a good restaurant available.||We ate good and finished with a nice drink at the small bar.||We had to leave very very early and to our big surprise we got a package in the middle of the night containing our breakfast.||A coffee and juice were prepared on the instant.||Pity we couldn't enjoy more on this best stay of our trip.||Thanks for your kind hospitality. If we ever come in the region again, you'll be...
