Hotel St. Giorgio — Hotel in Castel San Giorgio

Another hotel we stayed during our trip to Italy choosen by Saga , our disappointment from Hotel Tiferno in Umbria this hotel make up for it. We had a bubbly welcome drinks and snack upon arrival, friendly and pleasant Hotel Staff. Our room had balcony where you can see the mountain and sunset, our evening meal is superb and delicious. They have an excelent buffett appetiser 25-30 different dishes I did not even bother to count, followed by your choices of a starter, main course, dessert and coffee or tea and wine to drinks during your meal. It has a swimming pool , sauna, massages parlor, gymn. I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling around Italy. To the management and Staff thank you for a great stay...

Abbiamo soggiornato presso l’Hotel San Giorgio durante il periodo di Capodanno, e, trattandosi di un hotel a quattro stelle con un prezzo adeguato alla categoria, avevamo aspettative elevate. Ci sono stati diversi aspetti negativi che hanno inciso sul soggiorno. Le camere non sono insonorizzate: si sentivano chiaramente rumori di persone che parlavano nei corridoi, spostavano mobili o andavano in bagno. La colazione, pur accettabile, era limitata e poco costante, soprattutto per quanto riguarda le opzioni salate. La pulizia è stata l’aspetto più deludente: polvere sul pavimento nonostante le pulizie giornaliere, box doccia non impeccabile, una parete della stanza con muffa e lenzuola non cambiate al terzo giorno. Anche le aree comuni lasciavano a desiderare: comprendiamo il disordine la mattina del 1° gennaio, ma il fatto che il 2 gennaio ci fosse ancora sporco visibile e pavimenti appiccicosi è inaccettabile per un quattro stelle. Infine, la qualità degli asciugamani era deludente: uno si è strappato mentre lo scuotevamo. Tuttavia, ci sono stati anche aspetti positivi. La possibilità di parcheggiare a qualsiasi ora nel garage privato collegato direttamente all’hotel è stata molto comoda. Inoltre, il personale si è dimostrato discreto e cortese, scusandosi per la baldoria della notte di Capodanno. Se fosse stato un hotel a tre stelle, probabilmente avremmo giudicato alcune mancanze con più indulgenza, ma per un quattro stelle e per il prezzo pagato ci aspettavamo standard più elevati. Speriamo che queste osservazioni possano essere utili per migliorare...

One more stop in southern Italy and spend few nights at this hotel. The location is great and not far from Salerno. What made our stay more pleasant is the great staff that works in this hotel. I’ve been traveling for many years and stayed in very well known hotels but this one here in far the friendliest.
