Villa Casafrassi | Hotel & Wedding Venue — Hotel in Castellina in Chianti

One of the worst experiences ever! We planned to stay for two nights, ending our 7 days vacation in Chianti , but ended up leaving the “hotel” after 10 minutes. The room reminded of your worst nightmare - the first thing we saw was a huge spider crawling on the bathroom floor and a lizard in the ceiling. The toilet looked like someone used it two weeks ago and decided not to flush - nor had the staff cleaned it - ever.

The shower was in a bad condition with mold on the walls and ceiling and we would never have used it. The floor in the bedroom was swollen from the moisture in the room. The entire building and surroundings are completely run down.

When we saw the room we immediately went down to the reception and pointed this out and asked for another room. The owner and what seemed to be her son said we could have another room - with an extra charge of 50 EUR per night - which we of course said no to. They refused to pay us anything back or cancel the booking and claimed they have a business to run and that we need to understand their side…..what a joke. Worst customer service we have ever seen! After many discussions they gave us 120 EUR back - from a total of 300 EUR. We took the money and ran as fast as we could.

We recommend you STAY AWAY from this Frankenstein accommodation - it deserves maximum 1 star. The only good thing with this place was the very helpful young girl in the reception who really tried her...

Nice location, typical beautiful tuscan houses, but some details and attentions are missing. The food you eat if you join a tourist trip is far below the average, the quantity as well. Service is really basic and impersonal, nothing special at all. Wine is ok but overpriced. Probably if you are a hotel guest, you'll get a better treatment.

Schöner Platz, typische schöne toskanische Häuser, aber einige Details und Aufmerksamkeit fehlen. Wenn du einer Touristenreise teilnimmst, ist das Essen weit unter dem Durchschnitt, die Menge auch. Der Service ist wirklich einfach und unpersönlich, gar nichts Besonderes. Wein ist ok aber überteuert. Wahrscheinlich, wenn Sie ein Hotelgast sind, erhalten Sie eine bessere Behandlung.

Il posto è bello, con i tipici casali toscani, ma mancano alcuni dettagli e attenzioni. Se partecipi a un tour organizzato, la qualità del cibo é molto sotto la media e la quantità anche. Casafrassi is completely run down, and you can tell it’s not being looked after or maintained. ||||We planned to stay for two nights but checked out after 10 min.
