Ippotur Agriturismo — Hotel in Castelnuovo Magra

There is a lot to say about this resort and much to like, but it really depends on what is expected and what you are looking for.|This is a spacious site, with self-catering cottages being upgraded in a semi-rustic style. I would have preferred more rustic and less IKEA but they are clean, functional and quiet.|The main pool area is excellent and if its relaxation by the water with a spa atmosphere then this is the place for you. A small cafe serves drinks and ice creams. A restaurant is on site that take pride in its pizzas and steaks. Just be sure to order exactly what you want and how you want it cooked. |An excellent wine selection is available tom wash down the food.|Staff are excellent and go out of their way to help. The manager clearly has a passion for this business and has a vision for the future of the enterprise which I feel sure he can realise.|Overall, this is a semi self-catering resort for those with a car and looking for a decent base to tour from.|At the price, its a gem...

The 'superior' cottage was nothing superior at all. Very small livingroom with sofabed which was hard to pull out. Extremely small 'bathroom' which was old and dated. The shower was directly next/above toilet, so after a shower the toilet is soaked. Very old, small sink to brush your teeth...nothing you want. Kitchen very poor...only two burners, hardly any kitchenware and just a very tiny square table with four chairs, all in this livingroom of 6 sqm....for a family of four. Upstairs spacious room with good queen size bed. Aircon was okay, that was about the only good thing about the small cottage. Big Pool, but on Saturday there was (very) loud music because of a wedding taking place. Restaurant was very nice, but is not part of the park. Last but not least: it's more like a holiday park style (with a lot of cottages ánd a camping site) instead of an agriturismo. Partly under construction. Easy...

Die Lage ist toll - man hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Bucht und das Mittelmeer. Zum öffentlichen Strand fährt man mit dem Auto ca. 15 Min, in den Ort mit Bäcker, Supermarkt etc. ca. 10 Min. - Carrara, Pisa, La Spezia und Cinque Terre sind von hier aus gut zu erreichen.

Es gibt zwei Pools - einer ca. 25 m lang - sehr schick, sauber und gepflegt. Am Pool gibt es eine Snackbar, die von 8 bis 22 Uhr geöffnet hat - sehr freundliche Bedingung, guter Kaffee, kleine Snacks, Eis und Bier / Cocktails.

Das Restaurant Elia im Hauptgebäude am Pool wird wohl extern betrieben, ist aber ausgezeichnet und war zu unserem Aufenthalt immer ausgebucht. Sehr zu empfehlen - tolles Fleisch und Foccacia.

Warum sich der Ort "Ippotur Agriturismo" nennt, erschließt sich mir nicht (bei booking.com heißt er Ippotur Medieval Resort). Vielleicht gab es auf dem Gelände mal Weinberge oder Olivenhaine, aber davon sieht man im begehbaren Bereich nichts mehr - wer Landwirtschaft etc. erwartet, ist hier falsch. Es handelt sich eher um ein kleines Ferienresort. Im historischen Haupthaus ist neben der Rezeption ein Restaurant und im Obergeschoss eine großzügige Ferienwohnung untergebracht. Weiterhin gibt es auf dem Gelände mehrere kleine Cottages am Hang, die vermietet werden. Außerdem gibt es einen großen schicken Festsaal auf dem Gelände, der für Feiern wie Hochzeiten gemietet werden kann.

Zu den Cottages kann ich nicht viel sagen - wir haben sie uns nur von außen angesehen - einige werden gerade neu ausgebaut, andere sehen schon etwas älter aus - besonders schick und sauber ist es ringsum eher nicht - man läuft auch etwas bis zum Pool den Hang hinunter.

Wir hatten die Ferienwohnung über dem Restaurant - hier ist vorallem der Ausblick von den beiden Terrassen auf Pool, Gelände und Bucht sehr toll. Das großzügige Wohnzimmer ist schick eingerichtet. Die Wohnküche spärlich aber ausreichend ausgestattet, wenn man nur Kleinigkeiten zubereiten möchte. Der Kühlschrank für Wein und Bier ist großzügig ;-) Auf den Fotos sieht es alles etwas schicker, heller und hübscher aus. Man sollte seine Erwartungen etwas zurück schrauben. Vor allem die 3 Bäder sind sehr klein und reingebastelt. Beim Duschen (Duschvorhänge) lief schnell die Dusche über und hat Bad und Flur geflutet. Bäder eher nicht so sauber - Toiletten schon älter. Insgesamt aber eher schön und positiv - besonders der Pool hat viel rausgeholt.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es eine Hochzeit - ging bis ca. 1 Uhr und war völlig ok. Das Restaurant hat man aber im Apartment schon etwas gehört - hier gibt es wohl eine Schwingtür zur Küche, die leicht anschlägt und das war dann nachts nervig. Könnte man sicher...
