My partner and I spend three nights in this juwel of the marche region in early september.||The look and feel of the place takes you right back to the 15th century. Everything is solid and rustic, but if you like this style this is your place!||||They have only 6 rooms so it might be wise to book in advance. One has a large window with an arc and this room is bigger then the rest. Also it has a bigger bathroom.||Try to get this one...||The others are smaller, but all are clean, the beds are good and if you are not planning to spent much time in your room that does not really matter.||There is a large terrace, so when the weather allows it you can have your meals outside and enjoy the great view. ||The food ( some of the ham and pecorino cheese are made here ) is very tasty. The homemade pasta I could eat till I burst :-)||If you plan to loose weight, do not go there! I took on a few pounds just because the food is that good. They have a large selection of very good wines also and the owner will find the right bottle for your taste.||The service though is not the same then in a "normal" hotel. Do not forget this is a family run Agritourismo and everything is going at a slower speed then you might be used to.||But do not forget that you are on vacation in the "backcountry" and here the clocks run at a...
Read moreBy a huge coincidence I found this lovely place in the middle of nowhere and even stayed a day longer than anticipated. ||||Not only is it obvious that this old country house has been reconstructed with lots of love and it has been taken perfect care of ever since. Originally decorated rooms all have great views over the very green country side. ||||The sweet owner offered the traditional regional kitchen at night, and she prepared it herself for the few guests we were in April. I appreciated her considering that I was travelling alone, as she sat me together with the only other guests there were.||||From here various sights and beautiful places can be visited, but even the ways to get there are already precious by themselves, not taking the highways, but the small country roads obviously. ||||If you are not a big fan of silence, this place might not be ideal for one person alone. As I do enjoy it every now and then, it was the perfect place to recover and even get to know the outstanding Italian hospitality.||||Now the only question for me remaining is when I will be back, not doubting that I will be...
Read moreThis small agriturismo is set in beautiful rolling countryside, far from the highway but the direction signs are good. Our room was small but the window framed a beautiful view of the hilltop town across the way. Sante, the owner, is charming as is his daughter. Their English is limited. The dinners they serve are four course extravaganzas of Italian country cooking. And Sante is an expert on wines. He also sent us on a great driving tour of Le Marche, and was eager for us to appreciate this part of Italy. They are gracious, sophisticated hosts--we are hoping to return to stay with...
