Agriturismo La Via Dell'Oliviera — Hotel in Chiusdino

Nice charming agriturismo in a peaceful location.

It's a bit of drive to get anywhere with windy roads but if it's a peaceful place you are looking for it's perfect.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Cynthia who was always cheerful in the morning for breakfast.

Dinners were very good and different menus were proposed every evening. They have an nice selection of local wines.

We stayed in one of the appartements which was well renovated and clean.

It was a bit cold at the time when we were there but the pool area seemed quite nice even though we didn't use it.

The only things we believed were missing for it to be 5 stars was some little details missing in the appartement (like for example a cleaning sponge, dishwasher liquid, a cutting knife, wine opener). The other issue was maybe the shower water which never got very hot but it was bearable.

Overall a very nice place that we would recommend as a staging area to visit Sienna, Elba...

It might sound like we’re one of “those guests”, but the experience was simply not okay. The loft apartment had poor air-conditioning. It was hot outside, but that’s not the reason the room temperature stayed around 30 degrees upstairs. We decided to leave after the first night, which meant we had to pay extra despite the facts. With a small child, we had no choice but to leave.

Breakfast – literally just toast, ham, cheese, and some sweets. No eggs, and not even a smile when we politely asked for some.

The surroundings and buildings are very nice, although we missed at least one chair to sit on in the room. The pool is small but it’s ok. A private fridge would also have been appreciated – it’s something most people expect nowadays.

I don’t even know where to begin. We hosted our wedding there and we had our friends and family stay over in villa and close by apartments. I would like to say the biggest thank you to Eva who listened to our wishes and went out of her her way to make the day perfect. Thank you to Lucia who was there to help when needed and made sure everyone was enjoying their stay. Thank you to Katusia who made our wedding decorations and planning dream come true.
