Villa Toderini — Hotel in Codognè

I absolutely loved this place from the moment I walked through the door! The entry, dining area and sitting areas are warm and inviting. Even on a rainy day (which is was), it felt bright and cheery. Owners Pierluca and his wife Viviana are an absolute delight - you can tell they absolutely love what they do and the business they have created. I stayed in one of the superior rooms which had a bed area, private bath (I LOVE the soaps they provided) and a unique loft area with a single bed (a great space for meditating in the morning).

The breakfast served was way beyond the usual fare - every pastry was handmade at Villa Toderini and there was also a great selection of meats, cheeses, yogurt, etc. The dining room is definitely a great place to stay and visit (which we did every morning!)

Villa Toderini is a wonderful place to stay in the Italian countryside of Treviso. The accommodations were clean and spacious, with a modern bathroom and shower. wifi service was good. The breakfast was delicious and made to order. We felt very safe from COVID too. The inn keepers are kind and gracious, and the town of Codogne is quaint. There are a couple of restaurants, all of which were delicious, a gelato shop, a pastry shop, a couple of clothing stores, a park, a grocery store, and a small pharmacy. You can easily walk anywhere you need to go. Bigger towns and cities are a 15-20 minute drive, and we had a rental car, but it is nice to stay in a small town that is not touristy at all. I would stay here again if we ever return...

Built in the 18th century this was the residence of the Toderni De Gajardis counts, Venetian patricians who loved the charming rural landscape and splendid architecture of the villa. This is the area where my ancestors left for Australia in 1879 & never returned. Today, Villa Toderini has maintained the original atmosphere that makes special each of its corners, such as the small Church, two "barchesse" (the rustic wings of the villa), and beautifully tended Italian-style garden. When in Codogne or surrounding areas this is the place to stay. It is a good base for sightseeing in all directions. The staff are friendly and create a lovely atmosphere during your stay.
