Azienda Agricola Corlando Tre - Relais Campagne — Hotel in Collevecchio

I cannot rate highly enough the peace and tranquility we found at the friendly farm, Corlando Tre - it was delightful. We went in July as an extended family of 7 adults and 3 small children and had plenty of space, for our self-catering holiday. ||||The house was rustic with plenty of rural charm and characteristic Italian style and elegance - even the bathrooms had a typical Italian flair. The accommodation was tastefully finished; the large, well-equipped kitchen and large farm-house table meant we could all eat together. There was a carefully selected collection of mostly Italian music in the living room for us to sample and get in the Italian mood, and of course the outdoor pool was a wonderful place to cool down in temperatures routinely over 35 degrees C. The house would suit any 'book buffs', as it had a tasteful selection of travel guides, a comprehensive collection of Italian regional recipe books and general interest & Italian reference books. Horses, donkeys and cattle in the fields around the house were an added interest for children and any animal lovers. ||||The owner is a professional person, who was most friendly, gracious and helpful in showing us the ways of the house and pointing us towards the local environment (e.g. shops and restaurants, that we would need). She also provided us with much needed information about travel and essentials when we were planning our travel.||||We certainly needed a car; the surrounding countryside was delightfully well off the tourist track, yet contained enough to meet our shopping needs and the desire to explore ... the hilltop towns and local hilltop villages are beautiful and historic, and well worth a visit. Also, perhaps surprisingly, Corlando Tre is only around 5 km from the railway station of Collevecchio with excellent connections by modern, double decker-trains to Rome, Fiumicino airport as well as some of the surrounding region. It was only €4.10 from Colleveccchio to the centre of Rome - a journey of virtually an hour!||||Corlando Tre would be especially well suited to a large group of friends or family seeking a relaxing holiday away from tourist traps in charming Lazio. Abbiamo passato, io mia moglie e mio figlio, lo scorso fine settimana in questo agriturismo, incentrato su un tipico casale sabino a gestione familiare, posizionato in collina, in un contesto panoramico e di grande tranquillità. Prima di tutto dobbiamo ringraziare i gestori, la signora Caterina con il marito e la signora Giulia, mamma di Caterina ed architetto della ristrutturazione di questo antico casale, per il garbo, la cortesia e la cordialità che ci hanno riservato; cose veramente d'altri tempi, in cui la cura del cliente viene sempre al primo posto. Venendo alla struttura, devo dire che ci siamo trovati perfettamente a nostro agio, disponendo tra l’altro, complici le minacciate (per fortuna sono rimaste tali) avversità climatiche che oggigiorno spaventano i più, della splendida piscina panoramica tutta per noi e per tutto il sabato pomeriggio. Miniappartamento confortevolissimo con un grande camino e stanze da letto separate, cibo semplice ma genuino ed ottimamente preparato e servito; tra l’altro abbiamo cenato, in un clima di convivialità casalinga, insieme ai padroni di casa, con i quali si può parlare di qualsiasi argomento e agli altri ospiti. Andando al sodo, un’ottima esperienza che mi sento fortemente di consigliare. Il mio week end in Sabina è stato proprio una bella sorpresa! Le premesse non erano delle migliori, visto che dovevo andare con un'amica che purtroppo non è potuta poi venire; quindi pronta ad un w-e "solitario", in realtà mi sono trovata in un contesto famigliare: coccolata dalla Sig.a Caterina, dal marito Fabrizio e dalla super-nonna Giulia! Grazie mille per le cure e le attenzioni che mi avete dedicato, ai sorrisi e alla cortese e discreta presenza che mi ha consentito di passare veramente un we come mai avrei pensato! La cena è stata ottima ed abbondante, ingredienti semplici e di qualità eccellente, il cui gusto conferma e rimanda ai sapori della terra e ai frutti di stagione cui attinge. L'agriturismo è ordinato, pulito, curato e in un contesto paesaggistico degno di nota. Colline a 360°, agriturismo ristrutturato con cura, piscina immersa nel verde, di cui ho potuto approfittare per tutto il sabato pomeriggio praticamente da sola...
