Garni Biancaneve — Hotel in Comunità della Val di Non

We had a long drive from Grindelwald to Mendola. We were driving in the Swiss Alps on a snowy, winding mountain road and it began to rain which slowed us down considerably. Then Google Maps went off course and kept changing direction probably due to the elevation and poor weather conditions. As soon as I could, I emailed the property to let them know we would be later than expected. The owner answered and told us not to worry and to drive carefully and he would wait up for us. ||||We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. We thought we would never get there because after the Swiss mountain road we had to drive the Mendel Pass and it was getting dark and that is one hair raising drive. The innkeeper checked us in and told us everything we needed to know and we went off to bed. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable with lots of wood furniture which reminded us of places we had stayed in Germany. WiFi was free and a good breakfast was included with the room rate. There were six of us, so we had two rooms. The other room for our daughter and her family had four bedrooms and was downstairs. Both rooms were sparkling clean.||||There was a large parking lot next to the B&B and a pizza restaurant right next door. This is a beautiful area in northern Italy and the cuckoo birds gently woke us up the next morning. If you are planning a trip to this part of Italy, I highly recommend the Garni Bianca Neve. I've stayed in this new hotel for a week and was amazed that there are still nice hotels with personal approach like this one. The hosts are very nice and welcome. Location is convenient too - there is a bus 10 minutes away and a parking place for a car. There are some beautiful lakes in the area to visit, amazing forests for a hike, golf ground, horse riding opportunities, wide skiing slopes (though I haven't tried myself them as it was summer), and even a canyon (in nearby village Fondo) nearby. As a guest of the hotel, you can ask for a free Trentino card, which allows you to visit many of these attractions for free (or with discount) and serves as a ticket in any bus or train in the area. Finally, I should mention that the hostess cooks some delicious food in the evening, so don't miss it out and try the dinner...

We arrived at the garni Knowing that we will Not Spend much Time in The garni BN - only for sleeping and breakfast (travelling during daytime with kidz to nearby places).
