Rooms 3/10, Location 7/10, food 2/10, service 8/10. Overall terrible experience, they have much to learn and investments to do in order to be considered a 2-star hotel on the IBIS level. Right now it is a nicely located hostel with nice service and that's all. The rooms miss any air circulation (windows are all that prevents you from suffocating! Not even Gravity vent is present, forget air conditioning that's mandatory for 2 star hotel according to the Italian law!). Claiming 4-stars is a joke as not a single thing apart from service is even close to the 2-star standard. Beware of extra 3eur payments for dinner's tap water! Actually the quality of food and coffee in this hotel is an offense towards Italian culture. Desserts are the only thing that can be considered good, otherwise the food is trash and during 7 days of stay I had two serious food poisonings. The Google opinions published do not seem genuine - they claim the food is good while actually you get scrambled eggs with breakfast-reclaimed bacon as "carbonara"... Every Italian should feel offended by the food served here. Most of the time its really greasy and heavily overcooked, the pasta is basically falling apart when served.
WiFi is ~1Mb/s with terrible coverage, mandatory account creation (Airport style), bad latency and packet loss.
During my stay, the water in Jacuzzi was too cold (32c, when it should be 35-38c minimum! I have asked for increase but didn't get it) and 3 out of 6 jacuzzi steams were faulty, so basically only 50% of the jacuzzi were bubbly.
The managing staff do not have any basic English, vocabulary like "a knife" or "a cup of tea" is too much to handle - waiters have way better language skills than the managers(and are WAY nicer to the guests!), which is riddiculous and they are clearly ashamed of their bosses lack of basic language skills and odd behaviours.
The managers clearly discriminate non-Italians by small things like not informing foreigners about the lobby events, not asking for drinks or talking back in Italian (when approached with English). Numerous other foreign guests have shared my thoughts on this one during my stay, same feelings despite being from US, Ireland, UK, Poland, Germany, Hungary... We all felt clearly discriminated, Italians have a different standard of service here than any other nation, foreigners feel like a nuisance.
Clearly, not a 4 star, luxurious experience at all. If that would be a summer house, I would rate it as mediocre. As a luxury hotel - it is one, big, not a funny joke
Happily, all of that didn't destroy my skiing experience which was marvelous and splendid food served in restaurants all around the area is a proof that something is awfully wrong with this hotel, not the...
Read moreExcellent clean and comfortable hotel close to the chairlift for the slopes and skiing. The hotel also offers a discount card for use with ski hire which came in useful. When you're not skiing there's a nice decking area with sun loungers which were most welcome for an afternoon snooze after coming down from the slopes! We had 2 rooms for our break and both were good sized with plenty of proper hangars in the wardrobes (not just the rubbish wire ones!), a fridge and excellent showers which were over a bath so having a bath is also an option if that's your thing. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of variety from cereals and bacon and eggs and then the more continental hams, cheeses and croissants. We ate in the restaurant too and the food again was top quality. I would definitely recommend the penne arrabbiata. Manager Corrado is ever present, serving in the bar, the restaurant and / or on reception duty, and is always eager to make sure that all of his guests are happy. He also speaks excellent English which came in handy with my shaky Italian! All in all, an excellent place to stay in beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I'm...
Read moreThe hotel definitely does not deserve 4 stars. There is no ventilation in the rooms, the heaters are turned on for several hours, which made it impossible to dry clothes after snowboarding. It's nice that the hotel is close to the ski lift. There is a large spa available, but the jacuzzi is filled with bromine, which is banned in several countries and in large quantities causes persistent coughing in guests, the staff does not see a problem with this. Tasty breakfasts and dinners, especially various types of pasta, I definitely don't recommend fish, they often smelled bad, like mud, maybe they weren't rinsed properly. The service was polite, but sometimes we encountered strange situations, for example, the manager of the room did not allow us to come to breakfast in flip-flops without socks, he told me to go back to the room, and then he patted me on the shoulder and said that I was a good boy. Strange hotel, clearly there is...
