Residence Ables — Hotel in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

Two friends and I stayed at Residence Ables during the Giro d'Italia. Located not far from Bormio to watch the queen stage of this cycle event, it offers value for money. Rooms are very basic but neat and tidy. Free wifi is available. Staff were friendly. I booked this place about 6 months in advance at extremely low rates My initial booking was for 2 but changed to 3 afterwards. This change somehow didn't reach the establishment. As such, the room was prepared for 2 instead of 3 occupants upon arrival. This was quickly corrected and the room prepared for 3 without any hassles or complaints by management. The Residence Ables is a great alternative to staying in Bormio if you are looking for value for money. Valfurva is around a five to ten minute drive down into Bormio with easy roads to drive on. The apartments themselves are clean and spacious and the owner is very friendly and helpful. There is ski storage in the garage although there are no boot heaters. In settembre ho trascorso un paio di settimane in questa struttura. Mi sono trovata benissimo! Viaggiatrice sola con auto e cane, ho trovato subito ciò che cercavo, già all’arrivo: disponibilità e gentilezza delle due simpatiche e dinamiche sorelle che sorridendo gestiscono il tutto. Appartamento bilocale con grande sala e grande camera matrimoniale. Sia la sala che la camera sono ben illuminate da una finestra e da una porta-finestra in ogni locale, porta finestra che dà sul balcone: uno per la camera ed uno per la sala, con vista sul bosco ed il torrente Frodolfo. Cucina equipaggiata e bagno non grandi ma perfettamente funzionali. Tutto molto pulito, sia l’appartamento che gli spazi comuni. La struttura dispone di un ampio parcheggio auto e servizi per biciclette. Amo la semplicità e qui ho trovato quella bella, quella vera, quella che funziona. Sant’Antonio Valfurva é un paesino della Valfurva che conoscevo già…. L’ho ritrovato, dopo anni, ancora più bello. Inoltre in posizione decisamente strategica: immerso nel meraviglioso Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, a circa 11 km da Santa Caterina Valfurva e a circa 4 km da Bormio: cosa volere di più! Struttura con un perfetto rapporto qualità-prezzo.
