I don't even know where to start in singing the praises of this lovely home. The art and architecture are so beautiful my neck hurt from staring at the painted frescos on the ceiling, and trying to take in all the wonderful family memorabilia and antiques. Our room was HUGE! We had a balcony room that looked out over the valley and into the distance to see two National Parks. The garden was gorgeous and outfitted with chairs and umbrellas so you could just relax and soak in the peace and quiet. ||||My grandfather was born in the village and I was hoping to find out if there were any remaining relatives in town. A lovely young woman met us to try to help us in our search by enlisting the help of her mother and uncle, when the language barrier proved too much for my limited Italian, Fredrico and his friend Oscar provided translations, and Francesca provided coffee, cake and cookies while we chatted with our new friends. ||||Although the house, the grounds, the view, our gorgeous art and antique filled room, our huge marble bathroom, the delicious breakfast with endless cups of cappuccino were over-the-top amazing, it was the friendliness of our hosts, Fredrico, Iliana and Francesca that made it so memorable. As one reviewer said, it's such a big wonderful world with so much to see that we rarely ever return to the same place, but we will also make an exception for Casa Rosati. I can't wait to get back there and once again pretend like I'm the lady of the manor!! ||||If you are anywhere near this part of Abruzzo (only an hour from L'aquila and an hour from the beach) you MUST spend some time in this...

It really is a form of escapism.||||My bed was a little bit of heaven - top quality linen and an extremely comfortable mattress. ||||I wanted for nothing more during my stay and would highly recommend it. ||||For cyclists, it really is the ultimum; endless stunning and challenging routes coupled with the finest lodgings. ||||I hope to...
Read moreMy wife and I just returned from a peaceful stay at Casa Rosati in Ripa. Our room had incredible mountain views, and was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Despite the age of the former monastery that now houses the B&B, the rooms and bathrooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. Federico and his family are wonderful hosts and dining in their beautiful dining room for breakfast each day was an experience we won't soon forget. We enjoyed reading on the beautiful front lawn overlooking the mountains and sitting in the courtyard at night to enjoy a glass of wine. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the other reading rooms and lounges throughout the house. Note that there are two roads leading to the B&B in Ripa. One of the roads is very narrow and may be difficult for larger vehicles to clear. We look forward to...
