Arriving at Masseria Brigantino gave us an instant " waauww" feeling: an ancient farmhouse surrounded by thousands of old olive trees. The masseria has been renovated with a lot of respect for its past; all the little details fit in perfectly.|Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large good bed, fridge, flatscreen (but who needs television in such a beautiful environment?), bathroom...|Breakfast was tasteful with great pastries (!). |We twice had dinner at the masseria: lovely local products, great wines served on a little terrace, under an old tree, with candlelight and soft piano music on the background... so perfect...|The gardens were stunning with beautiful little hidden corners everywhere, which offer a lot of privacy. We spent quite some time in the lovely swimming pool area with jacuzzi.|Staff was so friendly! Rosangela, the owner, is a natural: from the first moment she made us feel welcome and at home. Peace and quiet, a beautiful natural pool overlooking the olive groves and the most delicious homemade food. ||||We stayed in the biggest room at the Masseria (not sure of the name) which had a view of the pine forest and the sea in the distance and it was just perfect. It was beautifully decorated, cool and spotlessly clean. ||||We ate their beautifully prepared homemade meal one evening (from memory I think it was mostly, if not all, vegetarian) and it was divine - we were stuffed. Homemade fig chutney (which they kindly gave me some to take home), cheese, parmigiana, bread....the list was endless!
