Was in BdT for wedding celebrations over 3 days. It's a nice, secluded accommodation/venue as it's an old village that's out of the hustle and bustle of Rome City. It's a rustic, little town that is split between 3 areas - old Borgo (uphill), the pool/restaurant & accommodation area with the mini bar/restaurant 'La Favole'. If you manage to fill all the rooms, this place is fabulous to host guests as it feels like it's very much 'your own'. Bear in mind that we were in this venue for a wedding. We were staying uphill and we had problems with lack of running water, for approximately 2 hours, for the first 2 days; not what you needed before the welcome dinner party or the wedding day. There also seemed to be mixed information between hotel staff and the event coordinators, sometimes it seemed like information was not shared between staff. Also, worth noting that the event coordinators finished early on non-wedding days and started their shift late on the wedding day. There was an issue with the buses on the guests day of arrival and we weren't aware of this until guests reached out as the buses were not where they said it was going to be; there is an extra cost (we weren't made aware of this) if the buses don't leave in time. Reception staff were available to lend us a hand but this was stressful and meant we missed wedding rehearsal as there was quite a delay with guests before the BBQ dinner. We decided not to use the recommended vendors and opted to go for our own; which meant we ended up coordinating between our chosen vendors and hotel staff during the welcome BBQ dinner and the morning of the wedding day. During planning, you fill out all the spreadsheets that they send however we were made aware that they didn't even attempt to contact vendors that we've chosen outside of their recommended vendors. Some of BdT staff are worth their weight in gold. Alessandro in reception, was friendly and approachable and though he was new, he made us feel at ease and no issues were too big or small. Gianpiero was our Maître'd, he looked after us by making sure we were fed and watered for the 3 nights. He is just a standup fellow, very comforting and we really appreciated having him there. Eduardo, Morena and Giuseppe were lovely and really helpful. Giuseppe went above and beyond in looking after our guests who stayed behind due to a guest contracting COVID; even going out of his way to make food for them and he's good craic too. Overall, despite some hiccups, we will remember our time in BdT fondly.

Lets just start with amazing, unforgettable and flawless. Its hard to find words that do justice to how special this place is that haven't been used in countless reviews below already! From day one having booked our wedding for July 2023 any email or questions asked of Silvia, Cristina and Mariya were answered within 24hrs. Remarkable communication with endless patience if you have many questions like I did. The venue is obviously stunning and you see this on your visits and tasting...but the venue simply comes to life for the wedding weekend and blows way past any expectations. The venue and staff have things so well organised you can truly relax and enjoy your wedding without any hiccups. I lost count of how many people said that it was the best wedding they have been to and that's down to the wonderful staff and the warm atmosphere created in the beautiful borgo. In my opinion its a complete game changer to have all your guests stay on site in borgo. All guests mingle and completely relax and switch off ambling around the venue, dipping in the pool and eating in the restaurant which made all the difference. It was the best weekend of our lives and cant thank the amazing Borgo di Tragliata and its staff enough. Fireworks a brilliant add on...highly recommend!

I spent 5 nights here as part of a wedding ceremony and what a beautiful visit it was. Borgo is conveniently outside of Rome, easily accessed by road, far enough to be tranquil and peaceful yet close enough to reach from the city etc. If you're after a luxury hotel experience Borgo isn't the place for you. Instead those who enjoy a slightly more rustic, relaxed and self-contained experience will love it. Set within the Italian countryside surrounded by trees, fields, horses and the occasional passing vehicle; besides the occasional member of staff and or visiting party you will feel as though you have the place to yourself. The Italian cuisine does not dissapoint - eating in various locations within the grounds during your stay you will benefit from the several bars/restaurants/eating spaces available. When you're not filling yourself to the brim, there is a running/walking loop to explore, table tennis, a football pitch, card/board games, two swimming pools and an animal farm to enjoy. Borgo is a beautiful setting for any event or holiday and one I shall never forget.

We had the most perfect 3 days ever for our wedding in May 2024, we loved everything from start to finish and so did all of our friends and family!

The food was OUTSTANDING (a particular standout for our guests), the grounds and surrounding area are beautiful – so picturesque, the vendors recommended by Borgo were amazing but overall the standout thing for us was the service received from all of the staff at Borgo who went above and beyond for us the entire time. I only wish we could mention them all by name as there were so many people who looked after us and treated us with such care and special treatment. We had the most delicious salted caramel espresso martinis (and drinks in general) made by the bar staff which everyone was OBSESSED with - we both agreed it was the best espresso martini we’ve ever had! Edgar in particular was lovely and always made sure that we were both being looked after and nothing was too much trouble. I am now addicted to a Hugo Spritz after how amazing he made these! We cannot thank them all enough for their excellent customer service! Cristina, Silvia and Mariya - you made the entire process of wedding planning so easy and could not have been more helpful - thank you! We used the recommended vendors and we are so glad we did! We used Peggy as our photographer, Fulvio as our videographer, Debra for flowers, Guiseppe as our celebrant, The Waistcoats as our band for the entire day and Luca Proietta (Pirofantasy) for fireworks. I would recommend every single vendor if you are booking your wedding at Borgo, they each helped to make our day perfect!

There was only one small issue on the morning of the wedding which was quickly rectified. The showers and sink taps up at the Borgo apartments and bridal suite weren’t working on for an hour or so as there was no water pressure meaning there was a bit of a rush in the morning to get the bridal party ready for the arrival of the hair and makeup team but thankfully the issue was resolved fairly quickly and didn’t impact the day. I would also say to brides to make sure you have someone dedicated to collecting special keepsake items on the wedding day for you as sadly we left some items behind. We were in a rush to check out and waited a while on the golf buggy to collect us from the bridal suite upon check out with the bus to Rome waiting on us checking out to depart. I quickly searched the lost and found property box (a great idea and a very handy thing to have at the reception area!) but could not find anything other than a pair of sunglasses so we presumed our items had been handed to a friend or relative but later discovered they had not. We emailed Borgo on the Saturday, 2 days after checking out and were told that they no longer had my bridal bouquet or our maid of honours bouquet which were artificial and we had planned to reuse for our legal wedding back home in Glasgow. This was unfortunate so definitely ensure you check out in plenty of time and have a list of everything that is important to you that you’d like kept.

We really did have the time of our lives and will cherish the memories forever. We will certainly be back to visit again in the future! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom...

We had our wedding in August 2017 and it was the most perfect few days of our lives. We always wanted to get married in Rome but we wanted somewhere where we could have a relatively large wedding which is difficult in the city. Thankfully we found the Borgo and like most reviewers, all of our guests still talk about the incredible time they had there Cristina, Stefania and Wedding Planning: Cristina is the most professional, proactive, organised and fun planner you could imagine. She is attentive and classy, and has a great eye for detail. Literally nothing we asked was a problem and she went above beyond with our guests and suppliers. From the moment we arrived and toured Borgo she made us feel super special and part of the Borgo family. We trusted in her recommendations and advice and everything was perfect. Thank You CM! Roberto and Creative Team: Roberto...what a guy! He is an artist and an absolute gent. He turned ideas into stunning reality and even though the Borgo speaks for itself, he helped make the venue unique for our day. The historic rooms at the Borgo are his passion, and you can feel his creative energy and style in them. Pleasure to work with! Aziz, Constantin, Julia, Numidoro to nam, Silvia, Ilaria, e a few of the amazing staff: Its rare for Irish weddings for guests to talk so fondly about the staff, but honestly the quality, professionalism and craic of all the staff is a joy and made our few days so special for us. Maybe its a combination of Italians and Irish or maybe there is just super special people working at the Borgo, either way...thank you all and looking forward to seeing you again soon. The food is out of this world and some of our guests still talk of the pasta, meats and deserts, local vegetables, cheeses and wines. Venue: The church and venue are exceptional, the pools are cool chillout areas for guests and the rooms are perfect. But overall its about the feeling of the place, the sense of peace makes everybody relax immediately, there is no pressure to be anywhere or do anything. All you do is chill out, have a glass of wine, enjoy the sun and party till the small hours. If you are thinking of booking a wedding here...DO.....immediately, just do it! I t will be the best decision you will ever make! P.S. Also...
