Stayed here for 5 days in the two-bedroom "apartment".|The first thing you notice is the beautiful calm Tuscan countryside, we were first greeted by a couple of dogs and a friendly black cat and then met our hosts. They were very welcoming, attentive and ready to help if needed.|We were shown our rooms: two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen with everything you need (fridge, stove, oven, kettle with pans etc) which was quite a lot for the price! And even though it wasn't the middle of the summer when we stayed, I would imagine it being quite cool inside in the heat of the summer which is a big plus.||The outside area is amazing: a tennis court (a bit worn but fit for play!), table tennis table, swimming pool, barbecue area and terraces for eating outside. Definitely one of the best things about staying here!||The place isn't too far for the main cities such as Florence or Lucca, or the small town of San Gimignano that was worth the visit! Or you can easily find some nice restaurants in the area.||The only negative points are: the shower which was basically a drain and curtain in the corner of the bathroom, and the fact that it wasn't easy to get wifi from the rooms (however it worked perfectly outside).|Though I suppose that the very reasonable price easily makes up for this, and it would not stop me from coming back...
Read moreWe've stayed in the Margherita apartment twice previously and have just booked for a third time. The location is stunning; peaceful and simply beautiful but still within easy driving distance of all the main attractions. David & Tamara are perfect hosts, providing discreet attention but always available for questions and help. The apartment is well equipped and oozes Italian charm with open fire, tiled floors and traditional brick vaulted ceilings. The pool is always inviting and the gardens just lovely for relaxing in.||||You'll need a car as the farm is @ 1.5 miles along farm roads but the drive is stunning with grape vines, olive groves and sunflowers on route. Castelfiorentino is the nearest town and has a good range of shops, bars etc plus a supermarket and train station. We've previously visited out of the main season so this time we're looking forward to the on-site restaurant being open although we have sampled it before - our flight was delayed on our first visit so we were late for keys, we were invited in to the restaurant for a drink and served lovely food whilst we waited and made very welcome by the other 'guests'. When we tried to pay there was no charge and it turned out we'd joined the family meal. This is just one example of the great welcome you'll receive.||||Can't...
Read more😊: Tamara and David is really nice hosts and helped in any way possible. There are a lot of facilities, of course the pool which is excellent, but tennis, table tennis, table soccer and a small playground is also present. The area is beautiful and the value for money is sublime. The kitchen was well equipped, so if you wanted, you could cook entire (big) meals. There were ceiling fans which did a great job of combating the 39C heat we had in the daytime.. 😢: The mosquito net was damaged and the shower came before the toilet in the bathroom. Some staple supplies would've been nice, such as salt and pepper, as you don't use much for a couple of eggs. Both small things but it didn't affect our thoughts of the stay as a whole which was...
